Although I agree with the player identity theft issue being a problem, a “Joustin Beaver” app does sound entertaining.

“Jiminy Glick: My, that’s a nice beaver.
      Dixie Glick: Why, thank you.
Jiminy Glick: [Jiminy points at a stuffed beaver] No.
      Dixie Glick: Oh…
Jiminy Glick: Although yours is nicely… shaped.”

“Minnesota’s John Anderson, the winningest baseball coach in Big Ten history”

Some times the jokes just write themselves.

Things may be a lot worse in KnoxVegas than the turnover of assistant coaches. These are not “official” rumblings at all, but from two different :fans with contacts close to the program I have heard the same reports: 1) 19 players were academically ineligible at the end of the season and would not have been able to play in a bowl game without some “intervention”, 2) a certain very key QB was among that group and some do not feel confident he will be on the field this fall due to either, or both, academic, and chemical issues (already failed these two areas before), and 3) a very special WR, also among those with academic issues, is also unlikely to play unless the class issue and attitude issues are both resolved before summer camp.

Many fans are attempting to support SOD because another fiasco following Junior’s antics will put the program into an even worse tailspin, but it seems improbable he is capable of turning it around with major issues on both the staff and team. I realize posting “rumors” is usually bad form, but these UT fans are not the type to pass along idle gossip, one is in the media and has kept very quiet about this. Neither have any reason to wish harm on the program, and seem genuinely concerned because they felt Dooley had a chance to do some serious housecleaning but things seem to appear to have only gotten worse.

  7. Anyone notice that Andrea Tantaros – author of the EA Sports column (“right on sister”) – is one of the Fox News fembots? I don’t mean this as a pejorative. She’s hot, and she…uh…talks good too.

Hey, is this where I complain about the good training weather in the north that doesn’t allow our college hockey and Skating Teams to flourish? How can major league baseball play their seasons up north? Spring Training in the South and west, you say? How about indoor facilities for baseball practice you bunch of lunkheads! The idea that they play and practice football in cold weather to gain an advantage for the Pros should help their recruiting when using their “reasoning”..

Have Republicans taken over college baseball in the north? Sounds so by the wailing of voices against an imaginary evil like sunshine.
