The Big Ten tries to assure everyone that spending more money doesn’t guarantee football happiness – except when it does.

    Reminds me of that Bama fan I saw wearing a shirt that said “Who says money can’t buy happiness?”. Kinda hard to argue if you spent a boatload of money on the right people.

    The SEC has been winning all these championships and is first in attendance…but is fourth in revenue? Somebody needs to ask Emperor Slive why that is. Maybe he’s not the great TV negotiator that he says he is.

    I like the wrap up comments that conclude the revenue growth is probably a bubble, but they’ll be fine.
    Yes, we see the iceberg. Our willingness to acknowledge we see the iceberg should assuage your fear that we are going to hit the iceberg. Pay no attention to the fact that we are shoveling even more coal into the boilers and making no course corrections.

    By the way, does this mean we should join the Big Ten? Seems like we’d fit in well. Generate boatloads of revenue but don’t spend it (and don’t win championships).
