This jumped into my head as I was composing the header for the prior post. From Eat A Peach, one of my favorite Allman Brothers songs:
Don’t have anything particularly profound to add here. Except: what a band.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
You don’t need no gypsy to tell you why.

Can never go wrong with the choice of Allman Brothers. Best album ever.

Well, maybe Live at Fillmore East was better. Both awesome vinyls.

I’ll still take Eat a Peach for Mountain Jam, Les Brers, and Stand Back.

Good minds…something something.
Livin on the Open Road by Delaney and Bonnie (with Duane Allman) seems appropriate, as well.

Thankfully I made the decision a long time ago to hang on to my vinyl….nothing better than hearing the ABB the way they were supposed to sound and the inside of the Brothers and Sisters album cover is the tits.

Now that’s starting a Friday (or any day) off right. Nothing better than the Brothers.

Last song taught to me by my hs buddy and college roommate before he left for grad school. Played it at his wedding. Not nearly as well as he. He confided in me that he was growing tired of my Cat Stevens and Neil Young renditions so he had selfish motives. lol. The Ovation sits in a closet… not played in quite awhile now.

Back in my college days at Tuscaloosa there was a bar called The Brass Monkey. They had free pool and $2.50 pitchers of beer from 5-9. My roommate and I were there nearly every afternoon. We’d always play Mountain Jam on the jukebox just so we wouldn’t have to listen to whatever shit someone else might play. Talk about getting your money’s worth. Usually, after about 20 minutes into the song we’d hear some douche complaining about how long it was. If we had an extra quarter as we were departing we’d play it again just to piss off the Oasis fans.
