“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Senator, that’s some quality stinkbait in front our biggest game of the year.

I have a much simpler solution. Bradley should move to Miami, work for the Cox paper there, then he can bitch about the coach at Miami. And be just as influential as he is in Atlanta.

Bradley wants Richt gone because he has consistently beaten Tech. The 3 game streak Tech had under Donnan was when I started hating Bradley. Between him and that old coot Furman Bisher they were the bitterest of old Tech homers. Mix in those idiot trolls Jeff Schultz and Terrence Moore and the AJC sports section in the late 90’s was a hazard to your health. Thank God for the blogosphere which freed me from having to rely on that fish wrapper for UGA news.

Bradley doesn’t half a shit about Tech or UGA. He’s just trolling for clicks.

Most of these guys have zero idea as to how beautiful south Florida is. Granted it would be difficult to live there due to the cost and such, but it is still a slice of paradise despite the attempts to ruin it. I preferred it when it was called “Miamu”.

I don’t see Richt leaving for money. Honestly if Richt was fired, I would be somewhat surprised to see him coach again, and not because he wouldn’t get an offer.

Mark Richt isn’t getting fired. Period. He might leave if approached by the right team in the right way just because he may be getting tired of all the BS whenever the Dawgs lose a game, though.

They know that 39, it just drives them crazy because of their failure to influence things. These are mostly malcontents who are tired of losing at life and would rather have others join in their misery. Some aren’t, they are just led by the loud noise and passion and lose their way to objective thinking.
After fifteen years, I wouldn’t blame Richt for leaving UGA, felt he should have left Athens before now. That is a long time to stay in the pressure cooker of a HC in the SEC, especially with the number of bad fans UGA has allowed to hang around. Will hate to lose him but it is inevitable, and it is a lesson some need to learn. I always felt SC and TN fans were the most delusional groups of fans, now I see many UGA fans have become a lot like them and the extremists are being tolerated. The program cannot help but fall off and stumble, imo.

Your extremism is on display through your intolerance of opposing viewpoints. You bitterly insist that people who don’t agree with you are “malcontents who are tired of losing at life” and so on.
But you fail to realize that reasonable minds can differ on the question of whether or not Richt has what it takes to win big in the SEC. Face it, there is no clear cut answer to that question. After another blowout loss to Alabama and a sloppy failure in Knoxville those questions only grew louder.
You sound like you need a hug, big feller…

Lol. Miami is going to be a tough place for any coach. They are a tier one historically, but don’t have a tier one program due to the arms race. Think they can keep up with FSU and Clemson with their structural disadvantages? There is NO WAY anyone would go from a top 10 job to that place.
Plus Ed Reed said he was interested in the job. THAT would be the awesome right there, and a much better fit.

Bradley is an insensitive idiot who tries to convince other poor idiots that he has powers of observation. If he had kept up, he would realize that Richt has suffered physical pain with the hip replacement for nearly 2 years. While I have gone through the same pain for the same reason and eschewed pain pills for that period for the same reason (proactive prevention of dependency), I didn’t have to keep up physically with my job on a day-to-day basis with that pain (not to mention loss of sleep) as Mark Richt has had to contend. Bradley, you would not have just been weary, you couldn’t even come close to enduring as Richt has.
Some fans take license with their criticisms having followed the lead of disrespect put forth by B-M for years toward Richt and another coach (that shit has been endemic since Vince Dooley was hired and wasn’t considered “one of the boys” because he hailed from playing at Auburn). The negative nabobs have taken that as a signal to lay low in the weeds until a loss occurs, then return as if by signal to arise and show they haven’t learned a thing about CFB or our Coach’s wins. The fact that Richt is here now has been in large part to his love for Georgia and it will take at least two years of continued support to begin reaping the impact of the 15 yr disrespect and nonsupport from B-M, but the nabobs will try to gut the staff and Football Program before that can sink in and produced the desired result.
Miami didn’t pay an interim coach 700k to finish this year because they are going out to replace Golden next week. They need the time to get their coach (who is actively coaching a team now) signed and delivered for next year, but only after that coach’s season is over. They have to get him now and try to keep it under wraps to prevent an “interference” claim from that coach’s present school (Memphis, here’s looking at you).
Personally, I’d cheer like hell for Richt’s agent to contact Miami for interest so as to rachet more dough from the tightwads (who have deprived Richt’s staff for years) and place Richt’s income up there with other SEC head coaches.
So , you idiots who want Richt gone can now go over to the AJC rag and sing a chorus with your choir-leading anti Georgia writer who has tried to interfere here for years. Don’t forget to take your scummy “hot seat” shithole with you.
LikeLike
Yeah, having Richt put a money squeeze on BM right now would be a great move. Considering how great he’s done the past 10 years, I’m sure BM would throw a few more million at him to keep him around. Remind me to not hire you as my agent.

Assuming you mean longevity at one school because there are obviously coaches that have been doing this longer than Richt that have never won a national championship (i.e. Tuberville, Leach. etc.) Of coaches at one job – Beamer’s definitely got him beat, Pinkel has been at Missouri for the same amount of time, and Bill Snyder at Kansas State has never won a national championship (in two separate stints). Those are just the ones off the top of my head and I’m sure I’m missing some others and I’m also sure there are others that pre-date my time following CFB that coached longer than him at one school without winning a national championship.

Present day journalism has devolved to carnival barking in order to try and keep a share of a rapidly shrinking pie of both revenue and attention. Once you change your perspective from “this is the journalist’s opinion” to “they are saying this in order to get dopes to click and read” all becomes clearer. Bradley doesn’t care for UGA, Richt or Miami. He just wants people to hear about his provocative take on things and get their clicks.
And I’ll add that Schultz is ten times better at clickbait than Bradley.
