Shorter John Currie:  you won’t get fired if it’s cheaper to keep you on the payroll.

It’s constantly amazing to me how athletic departments are able to stay in business.

    We, the fans, are the reason. We keep willingly giving our money to see our respective team/school play. But we’re also caught in a “Catch-22” since we really don’t have a choice unless we want to walk away altogether. We certainly won’t pull for another team/school.

    Only the fan who gives millions can attempt to stop the fiscal foolishness. But being that fan & giving that much is more foolish than giving a fraction of that & just scratching our head at what goes on.

    The confidentiality clause in that separation agreement will be a “material term”, not a “mere recital”. I bet UT is paying millions for it.

    Everyone from the Chancellor, to Phil, to Currie to Pruitt wants nothing more said about the 2017 coaching search ever.

    Ever watched a movie that was so enthralling that you sat and watched the acknowledgements because you just wanted more? That’s what reading this is/was to me. Please, let there be some out-takes or something else to see…a sequel would be even better.

    I am seriously in the wrong business. Getting canned after 8 months and laughing my way around K’ville during work hours trying to spend up my monthly 75 large? Oh yeah. Fire me? ‘Kay. Suspend me? ‘Kay.
    If I’m Currie I’ll give Ol’ Phil a call when he’s about 0-4 in conference play and remind him it’s due on the first.
    Couldn’t happen to a better bunch.
