We’ll always have Mark Richt has lost control.

Just remember, Jeff, when one door closes, the one at Auburn opens.

Jesus, history is repeating itself. It’s 2015 UGA at Miami right now.

A friend of mine went to Miami back in the mid- to late 80s. He hasn’t had a lot to cheer about over the last 15 years. The best he’ll say about Richt is that, using his track record at UGA as a guide, hopefully Miami will fire him before the the rot really sets in.

When CMR went to Miami,I thought you guys better watch out…like a lot of people,I wished him well but deep down I knew what Miami was buying…based on what I saw over his last 5 years, his hire carried a good bit of risk…

There’s gonna be a lot of pressure to demote his son as qb coach and hire an OC. With his track record for hanging on to his friends way too long, no chance he bails on his own flesh and blood. This is not going to end well. I hope the Richt’s come back to Athens eventually and are welcomed if they do (just not in any official capacity with the football program 🙂).

The people that wanted to keep him after 2015 thought him calling plays would be the solution. What a joke. The game passed him by when urban and Saban got rolling with their total program approach. Left the Bobby Bowden style of putting better skill players on the field in the dust.

      • I wanted him gone back in ’09, and the warning signs for me started way back in ’06. Suffice to say ’10-’15 were insanely frustrating years for me, and I was constantly amazed all those who continued to defend him all that time.

That’s makes 2 of us. I first said the words “fire mark richt” after the 2007 vandy game. I first started doubting in the sugar bowl against WVU. I thought I’d been proven wrong a couple of times (rest of 2007 season, 2012) despite the fact the red flags remained

    • I thought at the time Richt went to Miami it was a pointless move. I just did not think he would all of a sudden develop a fire in his belly and be able to sustain success that Miami fans are seeking.
It will be interesting to see if he’s welcomed back into the program or if everyone has moved on with this new found success and he doesn’t get hired on. My bet is on the former- too good of a dude to have burned any bridges or get in Kirby’s business if he comes back. And , I think Kirby is smart enough to give him a useful role.

      • Warning signs were there before he even got the job. Jonathan Wilma was on the hiring committee, and he said CMRs interview was absolutely horrible. Said he basically shuffled in and showed no interest or emotion, and basically didn’t seem to even care. They looked over this and offered him the job anyway, as they figured he was hungover from his recent firing.

Nothing pointless about making $4m per year. He will steal UM $ for next few years as he stole UGA $.

In addition to practicing blatant nepotism, keeping his son around at QB coach is just more Mark Richt Coaching Malpractice™ Miami Edition. To the surprise of no one here, Miami is also suffering from offensive line woes, horrible special teams, and a deep lack of discipline. Richt is lucky he has a decent defensive coaching staff. The offense, his brainchild, is something awful.

I’m so grateful he’s not coach at Georgia anymore.

  5. Shocker – CMR running a disorganized program with a lack of alpha-like leadership. If you watch any of his recent interviews, he honestly looks like Mr. Magoo and has aged rather quickly. Dude looks totally shot.

That player looks pretty good. Must have really screwed the pooch to get booted at The U. The Auburn Bag Man is holding on line 2.
