If Thomas isn’t preseason All American next year it is a crime. He was a beast all season. Should be All America for this season but won’t be.

Having read the responses to the Senator’s last topic, not this one, I have a question. How many of you chronic complainers, armchair quarter backs, and know-it-alls would like to go back to the “Daze of Richt”? Kirby has done more in three years than Richt did in 15. When did Richt get us into a National Championship game? A 7 point loss to Saban, regardless of some questionable calls in two games, is not a disgrace. UGA should be in the playoffs.

Agree. I feel everyone is still really pissed off and heartbroken and letting their emotions get the better of them. In a couple days people should come back down to Earth and appreciate what a special season this has been, and how far Kirby has taken us in such short of time.

I hate to see a great effort like I saw last night go to waste because of (1) coaching malpractice and (2) biased officiating but that’s exactly what happened. Our players outplayed Bama but our coaches didn’t. Plus, the refs did us in again—this isn’t just bad calls, but a pattern of one-sided officiating to be certain one team wins.

Yep. And on the LSU field goal fake and last night’s punt fake somebody had to be the guy who said “we saw something” in both situations. That guy had to be Strickland… and Kirby needs to quit listening to him.

I just shake my head when I realize that the fake punt was Champ Bailey’s hint that we would see something different last night. We evidently practiced it all week.

LOL!…gotta love it. Wondered what kind of difference that a healthy Cleveland would have made this game. I thought Hill had a good game for the most part…but boy, #92 is a handful. Ended up with 8 tackles, 1 sack and some pressures.

I’m extremely frustrated by our inability to finish the drill and get over the hump against this team. But I’m not discouraged.

Alabama has the greatest coach in the history of the sport, and probably the greatest assemblage of talent. They just completed the most dominant regular season of any team in the 20th or 21st centuries. If they go on to win the national championship, as expected, you could make a very reasonable case for them as the greatest college football team of all time.

And yet, for three quarters last night, the Georgia Bulldogs repeatedly punched them on the mouth and more or less physically manhandled them. Alabama is the king of the sport playing at possibly the highest level it ever has, and we’re thisclose to them.

The frustration is in continuing to lose to Bama in such soul-crushing fashion, but from a big-picture perspective, I probably feel even better about the trajectory of this program than I do 24 hours ago.

      Very good thoughts J.M.
And to add to your words, Georgia showed they are the equal, or very, very, very, very close to being the equal to this great Alabama team.
Game of inches and Refs made up at least a few yards for them though.

Man that was just disrespectful. That’s the second time I’ve seen Thomas do that this year.

This brightened my day. Thank you Mr. Thomas. I hope you had two rolls of quarters taped to that palm.

We are gonna be right back after these guys next year.
