    Maybe Herbie sees UGA is on the rise and wants to make peace with us. Or maybe he’s just more astute than we thought.

    No way we get in. If the criteria is “best 4 teams,” we should be. Not our fault the 2 best teams in America are in the SEC. But….. It ain’t gonna happen. OU is the next best team, rather see them than Slowhio State.

    Part of me just wants to go to the Sugar Bowl and beat Texas. Zero shame in that. Yeah, we are definitely one of the top 4 teams in teams in the country, but we just had our shot.

    Of course, the other part of me wants what Herbie says so we can go back and beat those bastards.

    I have been startled by the breadth of this narrative in the last 18 hours. Herbie was beating the drum all week but he kicked it up last night, and has continued today. Not so sure why he is willing to die on this hill but he is right, UGA is widely considered one of the four “best”. I can agree with that, but I don’t feel we should be in the playoff. We knew what was at stake last night and didn’t get in done. I know I definitely was glad I was driving through Oklahoma with Kirby last night and pulling over to go in a roadhouse!! Man, he had to have them stirred up and fighting man.

    I think identifying “the best” is Mission Impossible and feel it has always screwed up the discussions of about playoffs, and what should be done.
