Jeez, this is depressing: “The contract extension further solidifies the BOG’s confidence in Emmert…”
They’re about the only ones.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Eh, who else are they going to get? You wouldn’t work for them and I wouldn’t either.

Think you’re missing the point. Why give Emmert an extension? It’s not like the NCAA risks losing him to another organization.

Oh, I get it. Let me ask you this: when all the court cases start getting to final resolution who will be around to take the blame? They need somebody. Hell, at this point they need each other.

They wanted to hire a jackass but in the end stuck with the dumbass, in all honesty they feel like they got both.

Forget about beating Bama for another 5 years. Saban’s buddy is still on the throne.

Agree, it is one thing to make a mistake like hiring an Emmert type employee, sure we have all made poor personnel decisions at one time or another. But to perpetuate it for this long, and now extending it, shows the ones above him are not competent either. Cleaning needs to start above Emmert, that is the only conclusion I can draw. Well, there is always DGAS, but that is covered under incompetent.
