More and more, it’s looking like Andy McCollum.

In a shocking development, Geoff Collins isn’t retaining any of the genius’ staff.  Is there a downside to that decision?

But with Johnson’s assistants go 57 years of experience at Tech and dozens more in the profession, and connection with hundreds of high school coaches.

In a word, no.

Collins seems like a smart dude. At least in comparison to what was there before.

    Dangit.

For years Fishfry threw his assistants under the bus on a daily basis, and they took it seemingly without so much as a peep of protest. I can understand Collins not wanting to inherit anyone who’d put up with that kind of treatment.

New scheme and no top 40 recruiting class to protect, so the clean break is low-risk.

Tough for the assistants, staff, and families, but they know it is the nature of the business.

This is no reason to keep them, “connection with hundreds of high school coaches.” I have known my uf grad neighbor for years but doesn’t mean I want him hanging around.

Well looks like the Hate will be back in this game. Problem for Tech is Kirby knows what will lose his job Collins has no idea.
