I get the impression that Mike Leach was disappointed in his team’s whipping by Utah last night.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Well, at the end he finally admitted what I was thinking all along — it’s a coaching problem
Damn I wish he would have wound up at UT

Basically indicting himself. Have always liked Leach, but it may be time for him to get out of coaching.

Senator, I know you like him, but he’s an eccentric douche who’s reached the top of his game and is on his way back down now.

You can appreciate someone’s eccentricities and genius while at the same time entertaining the thought that he’s a douchebag.
Why do you think I posted this?

I agree. I watch the Mike Gundy clips too and he’s an even bigger douchebag.

I’ve watched a lot of WSU football since Leach has been HC there and what he said in the clip is right on. Last year Wazzou had the best team in the PAC 12. This year they probably won’t play in a bowl—with mostly the same players. By now every coach in America knows how to beat Wazzou. On O you attack their DBs who can’t cover and can’t or won’t tackle. On D you rush 3 and drop 8. Your 3 will pressure the QB because the Wazzou OL can’t or won’t block and the QB won’t have anyone to throw to because of the 8 pass defenders. But ultimately when this happens it is the fault of the coaches particularly the HC.

Was it Peterson who said that they haven’t changed the plays from years ago? One of the opposing coaches did. What could be softer/lazier than that?

Has UGA?
Not indicting you, gastr!, just saying I see OSU, Okla, Bama, LSU!, Auburn, and others light it up while we play Dooley ball.

LOL. Touché, Mick.

Sure, Auburn has averaged less points per game the last two years and is averaging less this year, but let’s keep pushing this insane narrative that Georgia’s offense sucks because they didn’t score as much as you wanted against Notre Dame.

The only thing “triggered” by Leach’s verbal diarrhea is the realization that he is past his prime and doesn’t know how to coach his own team.

I think Leach is hilarious. So he’s an asshole? Big deal. Most of you are assholes. At least he’s an entertaining asshole.

Actually and this may surprise you most football coaches at this level are “assholes”.. for reference see Bama, the Barn, USCjr, or even let’s talk about James Franklin of Vandy game but presently Penn. State. Any ya’ll wanna have a beer or two with these guys ?
OK, has any of these fine gentleman expressed angsts, thrown players under the bus. I am not a Leach fan, he goes to far at times and is eccentric on top but look where he is, been. Not exactly hot beds of football elitism. Nor is any of the pacific coast leagues. Pick one coach on the left coach that doesn’t stand a chance of losing his job this year.
Yes he is responsible for recruiting but if you’ll notice being physical is not a necessity to be a member of the left coast.
There has been a few Dawgs that were let’s not exactly in love with tackle football. Leach makes headlines he should not make but ai think Down he just tells it like it is. I’d go crazy and be bumbling for words if I had a 32 point lead in the 3rd. quarter last week and lost. Kirbs might be charged with assault.
Unless you been there done that shut up or just be a politician where one side or the other might like you cause you donate enough money so you can impose your will or wait that just maybe a McGill member.

Most of you, while joisting with Leach, miss the point as did he. Utah was the better team, coached by a better coach, and playing before a rabid home crowd! I thoroughly enjoyed the game..but could be biased being a ’74 grad school graduate. Go Utes, Go Dawgs!
