I feel like Grantham’s blitzing is exactly what Alabama would like to see in a defense. How many will they drop on the Gators? 60 is possible, IMO.

My worry is after the LSU loss, a beating from Bama, and a bowl against UNC or OU, the Gators have to fire Grantham, and I don’t want that to happen.

For all the love the passing game now gets, I predict Saturday will reveal just how important balance is. Harris will probably have a 150+ yard day since Grantham will have to drop everyone and their brother into coverage, not that it will matter. On the other side, Saban will be able to double team Trask’s key targets without any fear of a run game.

You could have stopped that question after the first five words. The answer is hell no. Bama is going to beat Florida so badly I’ll almost feel guilty that I don’t feel sorry for Florida.

Without a couple stops by the UF D this game will be a runaway. My entire wife’s family (and the wife) are Bammer fans so its meant for a miserable last few years for me. But I’d still like to see them blow UF out of the stadium.

To bounce off of practical’s comment and yours, FL thinks its run game is just throwing it to the backs. AL will be on that AND will shut down any run between the tackles only rushing 3 or 4 DL. I too believe that it will get ugly.

Bama is going to absolutely pants Florida, and then they’re going to start to rebuild. There has been zero improvement from Boom to McElwain to Mullen. The locals are just confused because it’s more fun to watch now because they score more points. Florida has sucked since Meyer, and they’ll continue to suck. Their only peaks will be those games when they have a good year and pick off superior programs having down years.

This. He threw two INTs during the LSU game and lost a fumble. That’s three turnovers in one game and I’m still hearing the Heisman drum being beat for him.

He only had 2 INTs before that, so he’s been very lucky (especially given that Florida’s practically running the Air Raid — they had 19 yds rushing vs UT and Trask had 49 pass attempts.)

Trask hasn’t done well when the defenses get a little pressure on him. He gets wild with his throws. He has to be really comfy in the pocket.

Gator fans know what’s coming. Friend of mine said she just hopes the Gators can score at least one TD. In order for them to win Nick Saban and all but 53 players would have to be in quarantine for this one.

This may be my favorite thread, with the best comments, that i have ever seen on GTP. It warms my heart. Bama will shred Grantham’s D, and Bama will do to Florida’s O what they’ve done all year: wear them down in the first half and crush them in the second half. It could get ugly fast, and i will savor every drop of it.
