How long has it been since 1980? This long ($$):
Steve Spurrier remembers what happened, and recalls it with a surprising sadness for Georgia’s sake, considering he may be the program’s ultimate nemesis. Ask Spurrier about Georgia’s long championship drought, and he volunteers that the Dawgs are “certainly capable” of ending it this year, and even downplays the long wait.
“There’s 41 years that a lot of other schools haven’t won one either,” Spurrier said.
Argh. I’d rather have the mockery.
Fuck him!

Few years back his wife got sick. Lot oof Dawgs reached out wishing her the best. I don’t care how much you hate somebody, when you see that type of compassion about the one you love the most, it’s going to soften you a little. He still gets his digs in, but it doesn’t surprise me that it wouldn’t hurt his feelings to see Kirby get that Natty.

I agree. Spurrier pitying us is the most back handed dig we could get.

Will disagree with Mr. Lynch about a curse…whenever the old ball sack says/mumbles/thinks ANYTHING concerning UGA, I F#&@^G curse that maggot sumbitch for all he is G&$#N worth, spineless piece of lizard shit that ever walked this wonderful earth, will never understand why a nine iron didn’t find it’s way upside his frontal lobe…(if UGA football could ever hang a number on FU, 66 for the year or 76 (+) for that fuckers birthdays)…#FTMF

You’d feel differently about SOS if he had been hired as HC in Athens years ago instead of Ray Goff and won all those titles for Georgia instead of FU. I understand he wanted the job but VD didn’t hire him.

Age will cast a different light on things. The older I get, the more I let circumstances that are less than desirable flow through me like a Mexican meal.

I agree Salty Dawg, I’m 60 and have gotten so soft I can’t even watch hunting shows on TV, much less kill a deer or a bird like I used to, That said, I still hate SOS. I wouldn’t piss on him if he was on fire, unless I could piss Sunoco 260.

“Our kicker and punter played well” LOL. I really enjoyed that. Gotta admit though, Spurrier handled that pretty well after getting stomped like that.

Now don’t hit me, but Spurrier could be gracious in defeat.

I remember getting up at my in-laws’ house in Jacksonville the morning after the game in 1997 to watch his show on the Sunshine Network. That was must-see Sunday morning TV.

There is nothing gracious about an ASSHOLE in defeat…even if that dickhead is attempting to be a defeated gracious ASSHOLE, that fucker never has and never will have anything for UGA…#FTMF bigtime and the fucking mule he rode in on…#FTMF…

SOS is the type of asshole that dwells on his failures. He only derives pleasure from his success when he can make others squirm recalling the wins. He is one miserable sonofabitch. Pity and understanding simply aren’t emotions I’ll entertain concerning that muthafuka. Time and age hasn’t softened my feelings toward Spurrier.
Fuck those motherfuckers.

Never forget that Grayson Lambert set an NCAA passing record against him and the Dawgs made him quit football mid-season.

Exactly this! I remind anyone who starts with their SOS worship that he quit on HIS team, midseason. #FTMF

We coulda hired him instead of Goff and things would have been much different.

Don’t get me wrong, I never could stand SOS but even if you hated what he said about us it was usually true. He just caught UGA with Ray and Jim. He did have good words to say about us after 1997 win. Oh well I’m 74 and I can understand mellowing. with that said I once again call for a curb stomp. I’m sure I hate Cousin Eddie now. SOS is long gone.

UGA finished 2nd in 2007 and 1982 ( and probably others too) and consistently is in the top 10/20 almost every year. This natty or bust BS is getting really tiring. The Dawgs consistently beat our main rivals (Auburn, UT, FU, Tech) and win the SEC East most years. Would you trade that for Auburn’s up and down record? I wouldn’t. When CVD was HC there never was any talk about nattys only winning the SEC, the premier conference in CFB.

Somehow it hurts worse than even The Old Ball Coach has stopped mocking us and our championship drought. 😦
