Crap on Mark Richt’s last five years in Athens if you must, but never forget he was a key contributor to this:

That’s one thing he didn’t lose control over.  And for that, he has my eternal gratitude.

He was knocked out of the box by Richt and Lambert, but the exact moment of his big bail was chosen to avoid a career loss to Vanderbilt that he suspected was coming.

No doubt. He sent that loud mouth little twerp slinking off into retirement looking like exactly what he always was. A front runner.

  3. Imaging getting sent out to pasture by Greyson Lambert and Brian Schottenheimer.

    LOL. Grayson Lambert ended Spurrier.

    That’ll never get old.

Never forget that Mark Richt made the Ol’ Ball Sack quit with Grayson Lambert.

Richt was our Moses. He found us wandering aimlessly in the wilderness of mediocrity. He led us out of the wilderness to the promised land, but due to mistakes (Willie, Schottenheimer, etc) he was not allowed to enter the promised land. It took a new leader to finish the journey. Richt turned us around and made UGA football relevant again. Kirby is making us feared again.

“That’s gotta be wrong. Georgia only had four third downs in the game?”

    Lambert, DGD.

He and Stanfill bookended Spurdog’s career in glorious red and black fashion.

The Ole Ball Sack quit on his team perfect ending to that Georgia hating ass. Sure he enjoyed Lamert’s 24 of 25 on his final visit to Athens.

He told Pawwwl the bull gators wanted to move the game from Jacksonville when he took the FU stating they thought Florida couldn’t beat Georgia in Jacksonville. Interesting take after Dooley dominated the gators at Jacksonville how close they came to pulling out.

After all the pain he caused us to that point, you can bet I didn’t leave my seat until the last play was over. I wanted 60!

  11. I don’t remember nearly as much about the game as I’d like—thanks to, uh, perhaps some overconsumption of liquid refreshment—but seeing Spurrier slink out of the stadium with a 50-burger hung on his ass was a glorious thing.

  12. I know most UGA fans won’t agree with this, but I always respected Spurrier when he was at UF. I know if he had been at UGA doing what he did I would have been more than happy. I lost all respect for him when he went to USCjr.

I can’t stand the guy. He certainly earned my respect at FU winning big and against his rivals changing how football is played in the league. He pissed it all away when his cowardly ass quit on the players he recruited when beaten badly on the field. I love he has an office down the hall from the FU head coach and will always make himself look good at the expense of the current FU coach.

Steve Spurrier compares himself to Nick Saban. Stop and think about that.
