    After all the ad-nauseum Stetson v JT yammering I was kind of excited to see the almost-was Covid pissing match yesterday.

    I’m closer to “doubtful” of the program so my choice would be somewhere between 1 and 2 that will beat Michigan after watching the debacle that was the SEC Championship.

    Until we have competent QB play I’ve checked out a bit. It’s just not fun to watch us getting gutted over and and over again by the same squad.

    We are in the playoffs and most teams would kill to be us, so cant complain too much.
    What takes the shine off, is that we have had a lot of turmoil at the QB position during Smart’s tenure. Despite signing five 5 stars in 6 years, we have not had great QB play.

    Combine this with overly conservative decision making regarding the passing offense and development of backup QBs, makes me nervous about our potential to break through.

    These have been recurring issues that the staff doesnt seem interested in fixing. Thats whats driving the angst in this fanbase. Better QB and a more wide open offense and we may already have some rings.

      Keep in mind though, at this point in their careers, Richt’s resume is actually better than Kirby’s because he had two SEC championships to CKS’s one. I don’t count playoff appearances as they didn’t exist under Richt, and they smack of Florida-esque moral victories.

        Richt was taking advantage of a weaker SEC. Smart is a step up from Richt, but until he decides to be dynamic and able to truly embrace changes where they’re needed most, he’ll be ONLY a step above Richt.

        Richt won two SEC championships in seasons when he didn’t have to deal with Nick Saban and lost one when he did.

        That doesn’t sound “actually better” to me. 😉

        In SECCG’s CMR beat Les Miles and Houston Nutt!

        And lost to Nick Saban…twice. And also Les Miles.

        Of note, none of CMR’s SECCG losses were vs that years Heisman winning qb or a Heisman finalist.

        Two of CKS’s SECCG games losses were vs. that year’s Heisman trophy winning QB. (Burrow and Young) The other? Their qb finished 2nd. (Tua)

                  And I thought the job was to put us in position to win it all under the rules in place at the beginning of the season.

                  and that CMR never did.

                  and that CKS did.

                  and that it is meaningful that we qualified for and won the game that earned our right to be in a national title game.

                  CMR played 1 game that would have assured us a national title appearance: 2012 SECCG. And we lost.

                  CKS has had 1 such game. And he won it. We have his second such game coming up in 8 days. Thats two of those National championship qualifying game appearances in 6 seasons. And 1 such game in 15 years for CMR.

              Appearances = nothing more than a bonus check for the coaches, you can’t put the appearance in the trophy cabinet.

              Make no mistake, I’m not pining away for the days of Richt; I was as frustrated as anyone at the last 5 or 6 years of his tenure. My point is that we have given Kirby everything we denied Richt: Salary, support staff, salary for support staff, IPF, opulent facilities, significant recruiting budget, administrative support, etc. (hell, we even tweak a law for him), but the results are not demonstratively better.

              I want UGA to win it all and to do it with Kirby at the helm (preferably this year) as he was an all-SEC player at UGA from the dark years of Donnan (the king of wasted talent). I’ll gladly welcome all the shit-talking Kirby wants to do to me directly and wouldn’t respond at all. Unfortunately, from my perspective, Kirby has priced himself into a win-it-all or bust situation.

    We’re lucky to have a great tam and coach to pull for in the playoff. However, I am worried about the way we come into it with a bad loss and poor momentum. That first quarter next week is really critical. Overall, it’s nice that we’re not trying to get excited about the Taxslayer Bowl!

    My interest and anticipation are minimal knowing that, even with a win over Michigan, an inevitable ass whipping is waiting at the hands of King Saban.

    I seem to have gotten over the post-SECCG hangover. I really thought we were going to get over the Bama hump with a great defensive effort combined with an efficient offense. Instead, we got a bumbling defensive effort combined with a very inefficient offense. I was in a funk for a while because it was the first game this year like we played like we were the hunted instead of the hunter.

    At the beginning of the season, I said we would be 11-1 and playing in a de facto quarterfinal game. We were 12-0 and ended up playing with house money (thank you, Baylor, for that goal line stand).

    I want us to beat Michigan soundly because they’re Yankees and in the pretentious Big 10. Can we beat Bama in a rematch? Who knows? Right now, I still don’t think we can beat them with defense only, so probably not. We have a chance to win it all. As a fan, that’s all I can ask for.

    I was talking about this with a co-worker yesterday. Even though we are basically in the same place that we were record-wise in 2017, that lack of an SEC Championship due to the loss there really sapped a lot of our excitement for this year. I know that sounds short-sighted, but that loss was very deflating.

    I’m hopeful that we will get the win against Michigan, but there feels like a lot of off-field turmoil going on right now — what with the continued blathering on the QB saga thanks to this team otherwise being pretty boring for reporters to cover with the Lanning-to-Oregon thing thrown in and the COVID stuff too.

    In any event, I’m sure Hope will show back up next week as we get closer to game time, but I also know that Existential Dread and QB Controversy will be riding shotgun and in the backseat car seat, respectively, when Hope pulls into that parking lot.

    While having a game just 10 days away with a covid outbreak hitting the team is not being in a good place, generally the program is in the bext place it was been in the 55 years I have been old enough to understand how good teams are. I started following UGA as a pre-teen in the early Dooley years. The Hall of Fame coach had great years and some less than great years. Dooley’s less than great years were of the 7-4, then 8-4 variety with 1 losing year and a couple of 6 win years sprinkled in.
    Smart’s teams have match all but 1 of Dooley’s best seasons and Smart’s disappointing seasons were as good as some of Dooley’s best.
    Georgia has played football 129 seasons. UGA has had only 3 teams finish underhand untied, namely 1896 (4-0), 1946 (11-0) and 1980 (12-0). We have had just 1 other season in which we did not lose a game, but tied 1, 1920 (8-0-1).
    From a historical perspective these years stand out as great seasons.

    #1. I’m fairly sure nobody on this blog will live to see another Georgia national championship, which means none of us born after 1980 will ever see a Georgia national championship. Which means this year and 2017 are the best we will ever see as a program: good run through the regular season, reality check from the prominent program at the time (right now it’s Alabama) and our ceiling as a program is second place.

    Nothing would make me happier than to be proven wrong but this program with its legacy of incompetence and mismanagement that is core to its DNA will most likely make good on this very depressing prediction.

          Ah the inevitable, “if you can’t be happy with our sub par results, you should cheer another team!!!!” response.

          I grew up in Atlanta. I’m an alumnus, as is my wife as is her sister my SIL. We are a Georgia family. I’m never going to start rooting for another team, I want my alma mater to get it’s head out of its ass and accomplish what it definitely has the resources to do and should expect from itself. I’m tired of the excuse making and rationalization for why we can’t do what our other conference brethren can do, namely win a national championship.

            Everyone losing interest, not buying gear, not watching and not going to games as you suggest is the appropriate response will make us Vandy or Tech.

            And that’s exactly what quitters and whiners deserve.

            Real, actual fans hang in there and get to celebrate the inevitable championship to come and hope upon that there are no quitters and bitches pretending like they’ve been there with us through the hard times.

            They weren’t. They opted out. Emotionally, spiritually, whatever:

            Do the rest of us a favor and leave bulldog nation in your rear view. Your continued presence will only add a bitter taste to the sweet championship that is on the way.

              Lol, so in the same breath you argue that the program needs the support of its fanbase (which I agree) then say I should withdraw my support because I’m factually and methodically pointing out the ways that our program has underachieved and why we absolutely should be dissatisfied with our lack of results over such a long period.

              I think the irony is that in many respects I actually believe in our program more than the people who perpetually churn out excuses. My stance is: our track record is awful, we should do better because we absolutely have the ability to and we shouldn’t be satisfied until we’re the best because that’s what we can and should be and that’s absolutely the standard we should hold ourselves to

                I could really give a rats ass about anyones opinion about “water under the bridge.” Any opinion that suggests your bitches about the past are great barometers of the future and inform us that the near future will be a great disappointment can go fuck themselves.

                If you want to say: “I have always been disappointed in our football program, but that will all change on 1/10/22” I won’t respond. When you say that everything you’ve bitched about proves we’ll lose on 12/31 or 1/10, then you just need to go.

        Not winning a national championship in 40 years when you’re the flagship university of at worst the second most fertile recruiting ground in the SEC is mismanagement. We enjoy advantages that many of our conference peers don’t and we only have ourselves to blame for not capitalizing on them.

        If you want to point to sec championships then how was our 20+ and 12 year sec championship droughts anything but an embarrassment. We didn’t even appear in the sec championship game for the first decade of its existence. In the past 25 years Florida, Auburn and LSU have won more sec championships (and national championships) than have we and again we have more natural advantages than do they.

      Gosh, playing in a conference where arguably the sport’s most dominant franchise also is where the sport’s 2 best coaches of all time have been. It’s tough to be in the SEC.

      Incompetent? I think you are confusing our program with a lot of others. Mismanagement? I’m still not happy that we didn’t give the financial support to CMR he deserved. We’re now building the Taj Mahals of facilities.

      You want to see incompetence? Look at the big building at the south end of Sanford Drive where a men’s basketball program that should be a perennial NCAA tournament team languishes. You want to see mismanagement? Look at the women’s program that was once its sport’s dynasty that is now an also-ran that uses that same building. The football program currently is neither incompetent nor mismanaged.

      Folks were happy with Richt and they’re happy with this. I think most people think winning it all is inevitable while we see the clock ticking. The bottom line to us is you can’t win it all and beat elite teams with our level of QB play. I don’t see anything that leads me to believe our QB problem is being corrected.

      I don’t know that incompetence is a word I’d use (other than when drunk posting), but mismanagement is an excellent descriptor in my book.

        Is the QB play the result of availability of talent or coaching? If we all believe Monken is the answer, it can’t be the latter. I tend to think the talent issue has been as much driven by injury as anything. If JT stays healthy (yes, I know about the word if), SBIV probably never sees the field this year because it would have been Beck or Vandagriff handing off good as —— in garbage time. Once the switch wasn’t made after the Florida game, Kirby was letting it ride on SBIV.

        Let’s wait and see what happens with a real QB competition this spring and fall before we make some broad statement about windows closing.

          In Kirby’s time at Georgia we’ve signed 4 5 star QBs and 2 4 star QBs. No Georgia QB has ever put up big numbers at Georgia during Kirby’s tenure, what exactly has changed that gives reason to believe Stockton or vandagriff won’t eventually transfer or straight up bust like their predecessors? Our best QB was fromm who regressed heavily his last year despite having two first round drafted tackles, a top 30 pick running back in swift and a healthy George Pickens and Dominick Blalock for the entire regular season. his best year 2018
          while efficient wasn’t putting up huge numbers and he was very much protected by a strong running game and defense which is why our offensive output fizzled in both games we had to throw it 30+ times and resulted in losses. Hence why the guy got drafted in the fifth round. I’m fully convinced had fields not dumped our ass he would have wasted his college career at Georgia and cost himself millions of NFL dollars. Call it coaching call it scheme but we have more than enough data points to be skeptical Kirby will ever develop an elite talent with its associated production at the most important position in modern college football (quarterback).

            All of what you are talking about happened under Chaney and Coley. I don’t think Monken is going to stand around and be bossed by Kirby into playing a QB that he doesn’t think is going to give the team the best chance to win. He got the hell out of Cleveland when it was apparent the head coach wasn’t letting him do his job. If Kirby was convinced SBIV was the best QB on campus, why did he announce JT as the starter leaving spring practice, give him the platform at SEC media days, and allow him to start in what was the most important opener in his 6 years as head coach?

            Fromm regressed his junior year because James Coley was in over his head.

    I had a very hard time choosing among those four options. I have every one of those feelings on a regular basis, but in the end I chose option 4 as I really do believe we are in a good spot overall, with great players, good coaches and a grand plan that will someday break down the door (including beating Bama). I hope that this year can be the year but after the SEC Championship, I am not as optimistic as I was. Plus, now we have a Covid outbreak. So let’s play the damn game and find out how close we really are.

    I chose “skeptical”—I’m more worried about Michigan than I was a couple weeks ago, but I still think we’ve got a good chance to win.

    If we do, though, and end up facing Alabama again in the title game, I think I’ll find something else to do that evening. I’ve seen this show enough times already; I don’t need to watch it again.

    Losing to Bama sucked but the reality is this team has a chance to hoist a trophy. You can bitch about the QB situation if you want but if this team fires on all cylinders it can win. Best I could tell this team has had a championship type attitude all year and there’s no reason to think that fire got doused out.

    At some point, the sample-size is appropriate. I don’t know that we’re there yet, but I think we are approaching critical mass as it relates to QB management. If you’re bringing in the kids you’re supposed to (5-stars), but they can’t seem to make the field on your watch, then (after a while) it starts to look like a coaching problem. THAT is a bigger issue and cause for fretting. The fear is that Richt got us close – say two inches from the top of the mountain, and we went out and found the guy who could only take us one more inch.

    Put me at a #3. I expected Georgia to finally put a whooping on Alabama in the SECCG, but I’ve not given up just because it looking the same as always…. I am of the (minority?) opinion that the loss had more to do with defensive scheme and play than with SBIV —- and why shouldn’t I feel that way? SBIV played exactly as we all would expect. It’s the defense that disappointed (in my opinion).

    Because these are my beliefs, I also think our defense will perform much better over the next two (YES, TWO!) games.

      The D, stacked with future nfl players, suffered from absolutely terrible coaching. I’d go so far as to say it might’ve been the worst prepared D I’ve ever seen.

      But SBIV isn’t, and never will be, a P5-level QB. It’s a testament to Monken’s coaching ability that he’s brought him this far.

    Man this section is gonna get ugly when some people wake up today. Personally, I don’t think we will win the championship so I’m working on not giving a shit anymore.

    We had 17 points going into the 4th quarter and people think we lost cause the defense didn’t hold Alabama to historic low levels. Fine, good luck with the thought you can “out Bama them”. I think OSU, Clemson and LSU saw that as a fools errand, and have had different results.

            Corch tells us that Monken can’t call the plays he wants or play the players he wants because Kirby and he won’t respond to his absolute certainty about Monken being turned into a puppet being proved to be high grade bullshit and you two cup corch’s nuts with “Brian Kelly” or “you can’t read minds only Corch can!”

            Wtff?

            LSU ain’t the only prominent OC job out there you know. Monken is still here so either:

            Todd has Stockholm syndrome OR
            Corch is FOS AND too stubborn (cowardly?) to speak for himself.

                I haven’t followed ND’s coaching staff hires, fires, departures because I don’t care. I don’t get the impression tho that people are constantly fleeing away from Kelly.

                He seems a bit of an arrogant prick but he seemed to recruit pretty well for where he is and he’s done the best job of any HC in South Bend since Holtz. He’s certainly the first ND coach to move up…ever.

                And again, there’s been too much coaching turnover for Todd not to get out if he was as miserable as he’d be if corch was anywhere near correct in his pronouncements.

      Right? I mean Auburn held them to a goose egg for 52+ minutes just a week prior, and our defense up to that game had been what some called the best ever. But yeah, Stetson Bennett something something.

      Come on Dawg. I’m with you on our offense but that was a whole team bed shitting. On both sides of the ball and the sidelines and in the booth as well.

          I agree with you. But FU held them to 31, LSU held them to 20, and it took them 4 overtimes to get to 24 against Auburn. Wouldn’t you say those 3 are comparable to us? Yes, our offense is sluggish at the worst possible times, but they ran through our defense like shit through a goose.

    I’m a 1 simply because I think that if we didn’t have the wr injuries and qb injury/drama issues we’d be getting ready to Kirb-stomp an overmatched CFP field as SEC Champs.

    After we went 4-0 to end the season I booked two rooms in Indy. Still have them. Still hope to use them. Still hoping they end up soaked in champagne, but damn that looks like its going to be tough to get to if we can’t throw the ball effectively.

    I’m just so ready for shit to go right for an entire season. I was 11 the last time….

    So I’m a 1.

    Alabama can be beaten. Wd know it because it was beaten. It also came oh so close to being beaten again.
    I know Alabama kicked our ass on December 4th; I watched it. We eventually will beat Alabama. It could be January 10, 2022. I want to have that chance.

      If in July of any upcoming season I was offered 12-1 with a spot in the CFP. How can you not say yes to that. Losing to Bama sucks worse every time now. I’m a three because there is a chance to win the NC that would probably include beating Bama. Beat them now at its Glory Glory to Ole Georgia. Having a chance every season is where this program is now. Is that some how not good anymore. You can’t win if your not in the CFP.

      How quickly so many have forgotten how rare this opportunity is to be in the CFB. #Go Dawgs!

    Lol. We went 12-0, won the East running away and are clearly the best in the East with the gap widening, current top 3 recruiting class to add to the all of the other top classes of recent years, and we’re in the CFP. And yet the majority of the respondents by far aren’t happy with where the program is. Lord God what a sad perspective.

      I’m happy with where the program is. I’m frustrated with where the season is.

      This is a championship team with qb/wr injury problem. We’ve got the best roster. We just can’t deploy them all. It’s maddening.

    Thank you Senator for thinking of me! I feel blessed to be honored today after years of posting. Of course I am skeptical, even a little sullied on the Dawgs as things sit today. The loss to Alabama real took a lot of the shine off of the regular season…yet another reminder that we are not quite there. I am still high on the program and Kirby moving forward, just not so much for the upcoming playoffs. If the Dawgs were a stock I would stand pat right now, leaning ever since closer to dumping my shares. I have very little faith that we beat Michigan. As the Senator pointed out in a later post, Saban has exposed this team and I believe that Michigan is talented enough to bottle us up. And there’s still the matter of a subpar QB. I also believe that our defense has been shown to be less than elite. 12-0 is friggin’ great season, but the Dawgs are not an elite team on both sides of the ball.

    The perpetual elephant in the room, in the form of a simple follow up question may help us understand the “why” behind respondents of bullet # 2 above: What will the UGA football program need to do now, to have elite QB play? Since, QB position is clearly what it takes to slay the giant Ogre that stands between us & a natty ring every year, then that’s all we want to know.

    Anyone who doesn’t vote 4 is insane. There is exactly one (1) program in the country in better shape than ours, but because of who it is, it has destroyed our collective psyche. Also, to those saying Richt was better at this point in their careers…well yeah, and if Richt had achieved at the level of his first 5 years in perpetuity, he would have a statue and the stadium would be named after him. If Smart massively regresses like Richt then you can vote 1 or 2.

    Okay, now that’s out of the way, being a 2 does suck. I want to be be a 3 or 4, but as someone else already said, Kirby keeps telling us who he is, and we have to believe him instead of thinking he’s going to be someone else.

    It doesn’t matter who starts at QB or who our OC is, does it? Not when Kirby demands an offense that only throws the ball 19 times a game. So as long as Kirby remains the same risk-adverse, play-not-to-lose coach he’s been since the moment he took the podium in December 2015 and told us that’s who he was, then our odds of winning a national title are always going to be much lower than they should be considering the talent he continues to bring to Athens.

    It doesn’t mean we can’t. Mack Brown won a title. It just means Kirby’s demand for a play-not-to-lose offense makes it so much harder to win one than it should be, because the defense will always have to be perfect to make up for the fact that the offense can only win one kind of game.

    Will we be okay with maybe lucking into one national title win in say, 20 total years, when the talent Kirby brings in should net a couple or three decisive wins? Depends on who you are, I guess. It’s like being a Braves fan I. You’re either only happy the Braves of the 1990’s won only a single World Series after being mismanaged almost every postseason, or, while happy in having won that single ring, you also acknowledge that Bobby Cox pissed away many chances to win more because of his stubbornness. 🤷🏻‍♂️

      But it is our birthright. No one else in the south, the SEC, or the rest of the country cares more about football than us. No one else has good players, good coaches, or a history of any success. If we don’t become Alabama then why even care about it.
      The SEC Championship game sucked and I was damn despondent over it for a few days. But what the fuck? If you care enough about the dogs to read a WordPress site every day how can you lack the context to see that we are doing better now than we ever have given the circumstances? We are not the Herschel dogs of a three-year run done almost entirely on the back of one magnificent player we are yearly in competing with the top teams (in particular one to our West). Sadly it’s not NCAA 14 and you can restart the game when you lose but shit we are in the playoffs and if we win 2 games will be the champs.
      Please enjoy it. It will not always be this way you know because it never has. Go Dawgs!

    Overall, the games were pretty boring this year. Fair or not, offense is more exciting and our offense wasn’t exciting. They blew out a bunch of teams and won the ‘advanced stats’ but I don’t watch the game for NextGEN stats. Realistically, Saban owns everyone but the Gus Bus, so making a coaching change would be ridiculous. But throw in the fact that there’s a decent chance that Lincoln Riley rebuilds Pete Carrolls juggernaut in LA in a couple years I’m just not sure what else we can hope to achieve if can’t figure out how to actually be a threat to score on every play…

    I don’t believe the program has ever been in better shape. One bad game in the SEC championship doesn’t move that for me. So there’s a QB issue this season. We’ve got Vandagriff and Stockton coming up and I’m confident that one of those two will really shine. The WR issues this season have been a function of injuries, and we’ll revert to the mean with those – and we’ve got a ton of talent coming back. Recruiting is far better than it’s ever been, and it shows no sign of slowing down. I think Dawg fans can take a cue from Texas A&M fans – they’re excited as hell about a program that has had 1 season since 1998 with 10 or more wins.

    I was mad as all hell after the SEC Championship Game, but we are in the playoff and we do have a shot at redemption. No one in Alabama puts an asterisk beside the national championships in 2017 and 2001. And frankly, from an historic point of view, I’m very excited to be playing Michigan.

    For those of you drawing comparisons with Richt, here’s how those early years stacked up: in 2002, neither Spurrier nor Saban was in the league. In 2005, Spurrier was in his first year at SCjr and Saban was in the NFL. Richt met Saban twice in the SECCG and took two losses. In year 6, Richt went 9-4, losing to both Vanderbilt and Kentucky, and barely scraped out a Peach Bowl win against Virginia Tech. In year 6, Smart went 12-1 and made the playoff. There’s really no way you can argue that the program isn’t substantially better in Smart’s 6th year than Richt’s 6th year.

      Kirby’s best teams would kill Richt’s. And I don’t mean just because players are generally better now, I mean Richt’s best team had to squeak out wins over crappy South Carolina, crappy Clemson, and crappy Auburn. His second-best team was blown off the field at SCAR. His third best team lost two games. His fourth best team was blown off the field in the SECCG. Etc.

        Richt coached in Athens for 10 years after winning that last SEC title. If Kirby doesn’t win another one in a decade, I’ll owe you a Coke. Also, if Kirby loses to Vanderbilt twice, I’ll owe you another one.

        Also? Who cares? What’s your point? The current Richt is old, with a bad heart and Parkinson’s, with no desire to ever coach again. The Richt that won 2 SECCGs was great! We liked him! Had he kept that up, he wouldn’t have been fired!

    Constantly fluctuating between 2 and 4. Thrilled with the amount of talent Kirby brings into the program, a level I’ve never seen in my 50 or so years of GA Fandom. Love the fact that we can compete on a physical basis with any team in the country, again something I’ve never witnessed. This regular season was one of my favorites of all time. Watching this defense smother offenses week after week was an absolute joy. For the first time in a while, I absolutely couldn’t wait for the next game, beginning with the moment that days game ended. That’s why the complete breakdown in the SECC was so utterly disheartening. It made everything we witnessed all season feel like an illusion. Wrongly, I believe. Or at least I hope. Maybe it was just one of those games & we’ll boat race Michigan. The qb issue is the ever-present problem that Kirby has yet to solve. It won’t be solved at this point for this season. That ship has sailed barring a completely unforeseen miracle of some sort. The real question for me is, will it change going forward. I think and hope it will, but am certainly not sure. I really feel in every phase of the game but one, Kirby has done everything possible to bring a title to a title starved fan base. Hope springs eternal for the GA fan, I mean it’s really all we have. Maybe Kirbs will finally get past safety first on offense & unleash the talent he’s accumulated.

    I’m hoping at this point though that Kirby ditches the whole “Elite” mantra. It’s starting to come off like our version of the 5-star dumpster.

    I’m amazed that since 2016 Kirby & Co. have spent so much time and energy and $$$ recruiting and developing players without ever having an elite QB1. Not confident that this will change anytime soon. I’d love to be proven wrong about that on 12/31 and again on 1/10. Maybe JT will put on his Superman cape. I doubt he even plays, though.

    In 1980 I was 33 years old, after watching HW run over everybody and win a National Championship with only 1 completed pass, I expected to win at least one more before he left. As we all know, it was at this point that Dooley screwed Erk by not taking the Auburn job. As they say the rest is history. I have watched us find ways to lose to Vandy, SCU, and even Southern Miss. I have, like Andy Griffin, been figuring on this for a while and it seems to me that when your team is made up of 18-22 year old’s and has some success they tend to think they can roll their helmets on the field and win. Now I would never think that happened in the SECCG, if I hadn’t seen it happen over and over for my 52 years of watching the Dawgs. The greatest thing Saban has been able to do is to win when his team thinks they can just show up. Now from what we know the coaches decided to change somethings up and these changes 1, confused our players more than they confused Bama’s or 2 Bama decided that they weren’t going to play that game with us that they played with UF and Auburn. In short, I don’t believe JT could have saved us. The Bama boys were on a mission, just as they will be for the CFP, and we got in the way. Sad posing’s of a 74 year old Dawg.
