Watching this game between two bad offenses.
I guess I’m a grouchy old fart, but it’s annoying as hell to me to see the runner get up after every four or more yard game and signal “first down” as if he’s the first one to do it. UCF and FU players are both doing it as if it’s a requirement.
And Florida’s bluster and taunting after any kind of good play is bush league.
It’s the age of “look at me” I suppose.

Welp Mizzou lost to a service academy and Florida lost to UCF. The East is not a beast. Who we got left gonna lose to some shit teams now? Oh right someone please post some BS stat for me that says we played somebody and won.

The complaints about the SEC East ignore the reality that no FBS team plays the top 12 teams in the country. By your standards Pitt never “played somebody. ” Utah never “played somebody. ” By your standards Baylor never “played somebody. ” Michigan? By your reasoning it played a 2 game schedule. Let’s discuss Alabama. Alabama’s OOC schedule was Miami, which finished 7-5, Southern Miss, which finished 3-9, FCS Mercer, and New Mexico State, which was 2-10. Our OOC nobodies were Clemson, which at 9-3 did better than its conference mate Miami, UAB, which at 9-4 was better than Southern Miss (UAB beat Southern Miss 35-0, by the way), Georgia Tech, which at 3-9 was probably better than, and certainly no worse than, 2-10 NMSU. If you want to gripe that our FCS opponent was worse than Alabama’s FCS opponent then have at it.
This year one half of our SEC opponents also comprised one half of Alabama’s SEC schedule. I guess to this point in the discussion Alabama has not “played somebody. ” The four opponents Alabama played that we did not were a four loss Texas A & M team, a five loss Mississippi State team, a 6 loss LSU team, and a good 10-2 Mississippi team.
The four we played that Alabama did not play were 9-3 Kentucky, which actually beat LSU, 6-6 South Carolina, which beat Alabama’s opponent Auburn, 6-6 regular season Missouri, and lousy Vanderbilt.
Remember, when looking at the number of our opponent’s losses and comparing the number of opponents’ losses, our opponents will always have more losses than other teams’ opponents because we beat everyone we played.
