Kentucky is back?

That’s… a lot of history to overcome.

He’s already the first coach to get UK into the preseason Top 25 in my lifetime (I’m 42). Might as well make some more history while he’s at it. I will enjoy very much seeing the ‘Cats win in Hogtown and Knoxville if he can do it.

Agreed. Road wins at Gainesville and Knoxville would be more impressive than a win over the Kiffinator in Oxford, given the program’s history. I’m really surprised that over the past decade or at least since 2010, Vandy has a better record against YewTee thanKentucky does.

  3. Before his last timeout last season against the Dawgs and before his spouting off with UK BB and USC lites’ coaches, I used to like Stoops…now not so much. I don’t GAS how Kentucky finishes now, other than behind GA…I hate FU and 10rc more…to me UK in just meh, so if they beat FU and big urnge, that’s ok.

Talking to a Kentucky fan last night. He thought Kentucky was being over sold this season, but overall was very high on Stoops. He agreed with me that Stoops can retire at Kentucky and they’ll build a statue of him as long as he wins 9-10 games a year.

“Kentucky is back?” I was confused since this is not basketball season. How can you be back when you’ve never been there?

Isn’t UK the trendy pick in the East every friggin year??

UK (Stoops) really doesn’t have any consistency. If you look at his record, he has one 10 win season sandwiched between a lot of 5, 7, and 8 year records. He has about a 6.7 win record average during his entire tenure which puts him at a 52% win percentage. Isn’t this about what you would expect at a basketball school??

  7. Back in the day, we would get Kentucky, Ole Miss, and Vandy in October to warm up for Florida. Dooley loved October.

I think he might pull the wins off at both places, but he sure as hell ain’t beating us.

He’s not beating Tennessee. And we might not either. You get my SEC top 5+ next week. A few surprises.

My disdain for the blue pussycats went through the roof after that gotdamn carpetbagger from Youngstown, Ohio did an 10 minute drill in the fourth quarter while he was down 30-7, only to call timeout with 4 seconds left to score a meaningless touchdown.
    Then…
those damn blue pussycats proceed to loose their next two games!!!
    FTBPMFs!!
and their prima donna basketball corch!!

Narrative bygones be bygones. Kirby does not have a winning record on the road in SEC West games and has only beaten jusrlt 2 teams. Auburn & Arkansas. It would be a losing record if not for Covid.

I’m a little confused as to what his SEC West road record has to do with him potentially winning in Knoxville or Gainesville.
