Missouri is on the menu, pards.
- Mark Richt’s grade for Georgia’s special teams? “Not good enough.”
- Missouri hasn’t won a road game against a top-10 opponent in 32 years.
- If you ask Ray Drew, he’s looking for his first tackle and sack of the season tomorrow.
- Bill Connelly and yours truly make guest appearances in SI.com’s Campus Union post about the game. (He’s a lot more informative than I am.)
- The injury shoe is on Georgia’s foot this year.
- Here’s UgaSports.com‘s Mizzou defensive breakdown.
- Missouri is second in the nation with 11 interceptions.
- Groo looks at Georgia’s offensive third-down conversion rate. Ben Dukes breaks that down even further.
According to extensive research, my new tinfoil hat should improve our 3rd down conversion rate by approximately 14 percent, although there is some guestimation in these calculations…algorithms for this research have been pretty hard to figure.

Two crucial pieces of information missing from Mr. Kerkhoff’s “Old Man Football” article about how Mizzou is now the beast of the SEC East: “Team A has played Murray State, Toledo, at Indiana, Arkansas State, and at Vanderbilt. Team B has played at Clemson, South Carolina, North Texas, LSU, and at Tennessee.”

If you look at the stats, Mizzou is worse on overall defense than UGA and that is with playing their admittedly lower difficulty schedule. I think it is fair to say their D has seen nothing like our O.
Hmmm. I am a girl though, so what do I know 😉

No one seems to be mentioning that Mizzou was barely up on any of those crap opponents in the 3rd. (IE they pulled away in the 4th, as one would expect a better football team to, but they never really dominated.)

Missouri led Vandy 30-7 at the half and Vandy never got closer than 16 the rest of the game.

If it makes you feel any better, I’d rather have you on the playoff selection committee than any of the other names I’ve heard floated so far.

With all due respect to Bill C., Ozzie Guillen and I would vote for Pedro’s Santeria over trying to figure out what F/+ rankings are

During one of my regular in-season forays into Phil Steele territory, this was an interesting nugget: in 2012 the Dawgs lost 33 starts to injury which was 8th most in NCAA. It had not seemed that way during the year but there it is.
Bennett, JJones, AJones mostly I suppose.

Nice to see the BD spot here at GTP. Another plus in the Bluto column for showing some love there. It was a good read.

Senator Blutarsky of the Mumme Poll? Technically correct but you’re obviously faous for GTP, not the Mumme Poll.
