Jeb Blazevich has some advice for us.

LOL.

The top storyline this spring has been the quarterback race.

“If the fans can figure it out, they should be paid to coach ‘em up,” tight end Jeb Blazevich said. “It’s hard right now. It’s splitting hairs. I feel like those guys are trying to do the same thing, they’re just trying to be the best that they can be.”

Shoot, Jeb.  There are plenty of fans prepared to offer their gifted insights free of charge.

How much does a QBR calculation cost, anyway?

I suggest Jeb stay away from the internet after G-Day.

According to Jeb, we fans are all stupid, and need to shut up and let the experts pick Qb starters. Like Joe Terishinski. Like Joe Cox. I give CMR credit, he did luck up and get his Champion caliber QB pick right twice at UGA in 2002 & 2005, been wrong the other 12 times. I don’t know, 15% success rate, kind of thinking nearly anyone could be better at choosing Champion Qb’s than CMR,

Guess Jeb is easily impressed and has very low expectations.

      • Dang Ed! You don’t give up do you? Your penmanship gives you away. So out of the three QB’s, excuse me 4. Which one is capable of bringing UGA a championship and which one’s cannot…since it’s all on the QB regardless of the team around them of course.

I think he is just late for April Fools Day with this comment, he has to know more about football than this. We really need a sarcasm meter here….Richt doesn’t understand QBs, that is a good chuckle to begin the day. Or, it could mean something is very wrong with his brain, and that is sad.

No, that is not what Jeb said.

You know, if you’re going to drop pearls of wisdom like this, you should end your posts with: “You just got LukeD, fools!”

How stupid can you be? We didn’t win the conference title in 02′ or 05′ due to our Qb. We won it with one of the best defenses in the country both years. Greene had a better year in 04′. in 02′ Greene threw 8 interceptions and only completed 57% of his passes. The defense only allowed 15 points a game in 02′, good for 4th in the country where the offense was ranked 22nd in the country. In 05′, same story. Defense finished 8th in scoring, offense was 42nd. Granted Greene was ranked No 1 on the conference in pass effic in 02 (only time he finished No 1), and DJ was No 1 in pass effic in the conf in 05′. Stafford, Cox, Murray and Mason never finished No 1 in ass effic in the conference, so he has a point, yes, the Qb’s were very efficient in 02′ and 05′, but don’t forget about defense which played an even bigger role IN 02′, and as big a role as Qb in 05′.

I would “coach ’em up”, but it would mean a pay cut.

Ya’ll be nice, Jeb has big plans this year, he aims to score more than 2 td’s.

Agreed, Shotty is coaching up the TE’s and used them a lot in the league, so I suspect it’s good to presume Blazevich is in for big year. He’s got a swagger about him this year that must be based on how he’s playing. I’ve even heard Rome pipe up and say it’s nice to see the TE’s finally used to their capabilities. These guys want to prove that Coach Bobo overlooked them and they’re chomping at the bit to get some looks and touches.

Hey Jeb, here about the 12 year old kid who out analyzed all the ESPN BBall experts and coaches and was 16 for 16 on the sweet sixteen, elite eight, final four, and champion?

No, no, fans can’t be right? That’s not possible. Duh.

Attacking the fans, nice job Jeb.

What’s a football player doing named ‘Jeb’ anyways? Seen the Beverly Hillbilly’s? Was that you?

Let me see here, using CMR’s, as Jeb calls it, “figure it out” powers, CMR has gone 0 & 9 at winning Championships recently.

Hell, rolling dice would be more accurate at picking Championship QB’s and LB’s (leaders).

A 3 year old could have better odds than CMR by flipping a damn quarter.

He wasn’t attacking the fans at all. his statement was more about the competition being very close and the QB’s are working very hard. Basically, it sounds like he’s saying the players can’t even tell who’s the best right now.

Jeez, Bluto, your wannabe QB signal callers seem to be missing just when you offer up the silver platter. Could be they don’t do as well before games like they do after games.

Jeb’s point is well taken and shows signs of player readership of fan comments. Whaddaya think? Do you know of any players posting here during your blogosphere lifetime? A “Yes” or “No” would suffice.

I’ll munch a cookie waiting for your answer.

That’s unfortunate… The only thing that our players should hear from our fans is applause, period. No exceptions. There is nothing constructive they can learn from anything any of us have to say whether it be good, bad or indifferent.

In fact, people who boo our team at Sanford Stadium should be first beaten (badly) and then ejected for life like they took a selfie on the 16th green at Augusta National.

I am pretty sure the UGA Rugby team would gladly accept that responsibility – the ejecting part

        • Derek, I’m not so sure about always applauding our players. In the handbook fans are given upon entering the Augusta National, Bobby Jones states that the most rude behavior a fan can display is to applaud a poor shot. ( I know what you meant, just jerking your chain a little. ) But I think like in baseball, you pays your money and you can cheer or boo whoever you want.
