Domination, in one Tweet

This is why all these who should start at quarterback arguments are making me chuckle.  If the defense keeps playing like that, Georgia could win starting Brice Ramsey.

Some of you need to sit back and quit worrying about who lines up under center.

We’ll need one if we’re playing on the first Saturday in December so we might as well deal with our offensive appendix now. We may need a qb vs. the barn as well.

Looks like we’ve got three weeks to figure out our best option for the last five games starting in Jax.

Play them both the next two weeks, start the guy you think gives us the best hope vs. the gators and hope it works out.

LOL, you are right about the defense don’t know about the Brice Ramsey part considering how charitable he was with the ball in the first game.

Lemme just set up a template for the QB comments:
“I have been a Dawg fan for (X) years and I’ve never seen a QB like (Eason/Fromm). Even when I was coaching (HS/Middle School/Coed Frat League) I knew how hard it was to (disrupt the flow/not play the one who gives us the best chance to win/dance with the one who brung ya). So we need to stick with (Eason/Fromm/Ramsey?/Bennett) because they have proven their worth by (insert random statistic).”

Me? I don’t GAS, GO DAWGS!!!!

The best player on the team is always the backup quarterback.

You are right on. I threw out that Joe T III could win with this D. Outside of Notre Dame and Allbarn our schedule is weak as I said before the year. This D is allowing our offense to grow. Now we need to win and move on. This D may be our best ever.

When was the last time UGA brought in their back-up kicker just because they could?

Yeah, I don’t recall them doing that either…

Good question, had to do a double take. Hard to accuse Kirby running it up with a backup…good move imo.

Yeah, that was almost the ultimate insult. “We’re beating you so badly, we’re going to let our backup kicker score.”

I loved it. I wanted Kirby to put Chubb in at the goal line just so he could get a TD as well.

Actually I thought playing for the FG was a mistake. What you are supposed to do when you have a big lead near the end of the game is just run the ball. If Kirby let the team run the ball 4 straight downs they would have scored a TD and we wouldn’t have had to kick the FG. Not being critical but just another way of looking at it.

Will be very little controversy imo…..unless there is a switch made now (starter). Glad to see Eason get into the game, can’t let him rust away.

LMAO. If Georgia keeps winning, nobody will care if Smart makes a change… well, almost nobody, it seems.

“Bless your heart”…..you go on with your giddy self then. I got the “giddiness” too, time to rejoice. Who in their right mind would even want to bring up the “quarterback arguments”….unless they just wanted to argue. Sometimes I wonder if some are trying to convince others or themselves (argument)….and why it is important to them to do either. Nonetheless, you give me a “chuckle” sometimes….”Senator”. Thank you for the blog, your hard work is appreciated.

Go ahead and respond, since it seems to matter so much to you.

Pretty sure I never said that Fromm should start anywhere in this thread, but since you mentioned….I do. You brought up the whole “quarterback argument” thing again in your original post. …obviously you were just fishing. It takes two or more to argue/engage, you seem to enjoy it…so do I.

I Just hope you do not continue to let my opinion bother you for another month or so. You just can’t let it go, you are better than this. When Fromm loses his first game as a starting QB (and he will), you can come back and tell me how right you were. …peace brother!

Of course you’re right that if we make no change at qb and we lose everyone will be cool with that. It’s only if a loss follows a change at the starting qb position that anyone would notice or care or complain or second-guess cause that’s how we roll.

Second guessing has a tertiary stage where: Rumors are sought to explain the sudden love/hate to both QBs given by CKS in a slight to one QB’s family’s Gentile background. The Red State fans (backers of QB1) and their Pres. Fran Tarkenton affirmed that the rumors will be canonized into Trump Speak such that loyal fans divide into two encampments when one QB starts before another, i.e., QB2 over QB1. Adding to the intrigue… … … .

See how it can get? All the while the Senator looks for a new Camen while laughing his ass off on the stupidness of reasoning exhibited by both sides of such an …. issue?

    • I’m not advocating for Fromm or Eason, dude. As long as Georgia’s winning, I’m good with either kid.

What are you going to do, though, if Kirby says one day that Eason deserves a start because he’s practiced better? Fret or root?

I for one totally trust whatever CKS and OCJC decide. I think they’ve earned that trust from fans this year.

As an aside, after so many games last year I would hear my dad lament, “I thought Smart was supposed to be a defensive guru?!”

Even after our win against MSU he had his doubts. I believe when I was gushing over the D’s performance after last game my dad said, “State ain’t nobody. Now NEXT week we have a chance to prove who we are.”

Needless to say, he was beaming when I saw him this morning.

I agree that they should both play. It seemed clear to me yesterday that Eason went in for garbage time and there was no attempt to put a drive together, just eat clock. This is not what I mean by playing both and I really thought I picked up some negative body language from Eason during that garbage time duty. Nevertheless, I think it would be important for them both to play meaningful game time. We have the D to carry the team and I think the O needs to work out how they’re going to attack top ten teams if they want to compete for championships.

If the point is that this current (and future) Smart team doesn’t need the QB to put the team in his back to win, I’ll agree with that. However, I would disagree with the notion that it doesn’t matter who takes the snaps between Fromm and Eason. Being able to read a D, master the playbook and film study, see the field for receiving options, make quick and sound decisions, throw with accuracy and command the respect of the team are all vital skills or attributes in a conservative pro-style O. Though it’s possible Eason got better at many of these things, but right now Fromms seems better at most of these. I don’t attend practice or hang out at the FB complex, but watch all the games and in a sober to fairly sober condition.
