Pretty good doesn’t get you ranked in the top four.

Call me crazy, but I think there might be something to this sliced bread. It’s so much more convenient!

I’m convinced these pearls of wisdom are cranked out by the same company that mass produces messages in fortune cookies.

I must admit that ol’ Tony sucked me in, and I signed up as a premium member on a site that looks like it was created with a Commodore 64. I’m really glad Tony held off on labeling UGA as ‘pretty good’ until not after the ND game, not after the MSU throttling, or even the UT drubbing on the road, (which would go down as the worst home loss ever)…but instead after we finally disposed of mighty Vandy. Beautiful insight coming off a signature win.

I’m looking forward to Tony’s entries next week, which he has already thrown out a few teasers to build anticipation further. They include: “The forward pass – the evolution of football continues,” and “Saban’s Tide – a great program in the making?”

  7. OK ,I know this is highly unpopular on this site but isn’t just a tiny bit possible that maybe , just maybe he was be sarcastic, as in making his point via an obvious understatement. As one of many on this site who has been criticized for failing to use the proper sarcasm font and having my point missed I think what he is obviously saying is this team is way better than pretty good…..Personally,looking forward to the round robin tournament that the last three weeks of the SEC season that UGA/AUBARN :BAMA/AUB ; SECCG will be. Now jump my ass for not taking it one game at a time.

This is getting real good. Three SEC teams in the top 10 (Boy if only Aub would have beat Clemson) and no other SEC team in the top 25. Aub plays both GA/Bama so they have the most daunting task. Unlikely they win both…and hopefully neither. I would love to meet Bama in the SECC both of us undefeated.
Did you notice early yesterday Washington jumped us in the rankings. They were 4th and we were 5th. Then late yesterday they swapped us. The coaches poll kept us at 5.

IF I could choose, beating AU twice would my choice….

        • But that would mean hoping Auburn wins a game … that may be a bridge too far for this guy who still is pi$$ed about $Cam and Fairley and how the Auburn family embraced them in 2010.

No, we were ahead of Washington in last week’s AP poll as well. Coaches had us behind Washington last week and this week. Didn’t change order in either poll.

The polls are only there to give the media something to talk about. No poll matters a lick until the one that comes out on All Hallows Eve. I could give a shit if we were 6-0 and ranked 15th right now. Keep winning and the rankings will take care of themselves

Good point about the possibility that TB is making a tounge in cheek complement to UGA. History doesn’t support that, though, as he has become “The Master of stating the obvious”.
Another possibility is that TB has read the criticisms on GTP (I’m betting he has) and is trolling us out of spite.
Then again, the simplest explanation is usually the best. He’s just shallow and possibly to lazy or comfortable to come up with true insight.

Can yall please beat Florida this year? Then Barnyard will tweet that UGA might be better than expected, maybe even really good.

  9. So I clicked the link and read the free part. He didn’t write anything that would make me want to pay for the rest. Not sure I would have kept reading in any case. Who pays this guy? I would rather read Shultz or Bradley and that says a lot.
