“We’ve done more things inside than we ever have and I think that’s helped.”

If Georgia manages to pull off an accomplishment that leads to rings for everyone responsible, would Greg McGarity present one to Jeremy Pruitt?

One more tool the Georgia Way did not get until everyone else had it. We should have gotten it when Mark Richt first requested it.

Maybe the most obvious benefit of Michael Adams being gone.

The “Thank God Adams is Gone Memorial IPF.” The most of obvious benefit of his exit.

    Pruitt is a unsung hero.

This whole saga was what you call Old White Dude Problems. “I know better than you……and even more so if I “was in the arena,” even if it was during the days of single bar facemasks and 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Plus, I’m part of the UGA political class, so sit down peon.”………only, then comes along this (admittedly loudmouthed) Jeremy Pruitt, whom I’m sure they all looked down on as a redneck from that backwoods to our west, but lo and behold he exposes the fact that the UGA establishment really had ZERO idea WTF they are talking about. Embarrassing, really.

    Glad things have changed.

It was really a multifaceted problem a AD and President that were cheap, a HC that had gone hands off CEO, and B-M was as a whole milked the fans for money while knowing how much they could let the program slide before donations started dropping.

It is amazing UGA was so slow to get the IPF and the recruiting hosting renovations from to the stadium are a work in progress.

Thankfully Pruitt was willing to ruffle some feathers in his fight to win.

If by “UGA establishment” you mean Richt, then you are correct.

I think Richt’s biggest problem wasn’t that he didn’t know what he was talking about or that he denied the need for the competitive spending but rather that he was a model employee who repeated the upper management’s bullshit and didn’t recognize or wield the power of his office like many other coaches.

it might be. but that’s on HIM, not anybody else.

I liked CMR, but the idea that he was a victim for not getting what the donors and AD readily gave when CJP demanded it is a needle I can’t jump through.

I doubt we will ever really know what happened during 2015 but CJP was a squeaky wheel that refused to quietly keep the stat quo. I may disagree with how he did it (but I may not as details have been kept secret) but he was major spark in the change that followed.

I have also said in the past, that Richt and McGarity may have agreed to fire CJP even if both for their own reasons, and Schott was a failure leaving only Richt’s contract.

The inherent and natural strength of the program is evident when you observe how quickly a little competence can outpace, literally decades of incompetence.

We can be whatever we want to be. We just have to decide, with conviction, what that is.

As cheap as McG wants to be his cronies and him will be the only one to get a ring. McG will claim it is an extra benefit for the players so they can’t have one without turning it into the NCAA and forfeiting the season. The coaches don’t get one because they did specifically ask for it in their contracts. So nobody but the BM brain trust will get rings.
