There will always be a place in the SEC for hate… um, intense dislike.

I confess, the first thing that came to mind when I saw this header was this.

All my friends know how much I hate auburn. If they played isis, I’d wear a turban. That said, my youngest daughter went to tour the campus last week. I’m sure that’s where she will end up going. I stayed at our farm in pine mountain while she and her mother went for the tour. Can’t bring myself to go there.

You need to play the tape to the end. She’ll marry one of them, want their babies wearing orange and blue, and never, ever, understand why you are so anti-auburn. Do you want to hear war eagle for the rest of your life? Is camo your choice of church clothes? Or synagogue clothes? Whatever? Don’t let her mom be like, “well, its what she wants”. This aggression can not stand, man! Hell, I doubt many of their kind even fought for the right side in the war of aggression.

Tell her Auburn is literally only for people who aren’t good enough for Georgia. See Matthews, tray and their students, the vast majority of whom received the skinny rejection envelope from uga.

You’re right, Charlotte. My daughter applied to UGA as an out-of-state applicant. We live in Alabama. She’s not Ivy League material so she soon received her “thanks for applying” letter and, I swear, two weeks later, an offer letter came from Auburn. Coincidence? Maybe. I said no, she said no to Bama, so, UAB
Dental! Best thing for her ever. Except the grand baby she’s having next week! Here comes another chance at Athens in 19 years!

mwo, you have got to figure out how to stop this. I have Auburn relatives and it is a very unpleasant situation to have to put up with. You think you know what it will be like but you don’t. I have a friend whose daughter went to Auburn and married an Auburn guy. My friend told me he never saw his son in law when the kid didn’t have mud on his shoes. Your daughter needs to go in-state. Put your foot down. If she can’t go to Georgia then Georgia Southern is an excellent choice. I have friends whose kids went there and they all loved it. Plenty of other choices, too. Valdosta State, Augusta University (great for health sciences), West Georgia, etc. Make it about money–too expensive to go out of state, wasting what would be grad school dollars by going out of state, etc. Good luck.

It’s probably gonna be Syracuse if not that school in Lee county. She has been there once but i want her to go back in February for the truest experience. I keep hoping it will be UGA.

Ole Miss’ outdated, Good Old Boy 2005 athletic department didn’t believe Orgeron’s pleas about falling behind power programs like LSU, Auburn, and Alabama in the year-round recruiting cycle.

I’m with Ed on this one. At least it wasn’t 2015.

OH no, there’s no hate here! This is the SEC! Where it just means…more. Gag.

Good article, btw. A lot of times sports articles just feel like a blurb stretched into a column. Coach O really opened up and it made this one interesting.

I thought so too. Good read. I’m a Tiger fan as long as they aren’t playing Georgia, and I thought they were crazy for canning Miles. I have a dickhead (and stupid,he married my Aunt) ex uncle in law who played for the rebel black bear land shark admiral ackbars back in the day, and he hated Coach O. That should have been my first clue.
My Louisiana family is split on the hire, I’ll send the link to my cousins.

I hope Coach O can hang on in LSU. You can really tell the guy wants it to work so badly. Maybe the Florida and Auburn games turned it around for him. And I hope he stomps Ole Miss.

Oh, and I don’t care for Auburn.
