We Georgia fans may be optimistic, maybe even a little confident in our team’s chances this Saturday, but there won’t be any swag because, memories.
That stings.

Most UGA was favored over UF since 1985 was -11.5 in 2014. Gators completed 3 passes, scored on fake FG run by a Publix bag boy, won 38-20. https://t.co/B7APlPrU5x

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23

This is the big test. Can we beat a FLA team we should beat badly? I mean beat them like a rented mule! No more lucky rabbit feet, no more snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. We need to stomp a mud hole in their chest. Embarrass them and let them know little brother has finally grown up! #revengeyear

They’re still little brother (go look at the series record), but it’s time for big brother to say enough. It’s time for a Dooley era of domination in Jacksonville to return.

We have never been little brother. We just acted like it. No longer.

+1 Our fans have laid down to the FU interpretation of things. No worries, we begin a new trend reversal this Saturday.

This game plays tricks on UGA fans….my reason and logic say: UF needed a 65yd hail mary type pass to beat UT, TO BEAT UT!!! We smoked UT in Knoxville 41-0 and left points on the field. We should win this game something like 38-6…..on the other hand its UF and we wet the bed so much in this game.

This isn’t Mark Richt’s football team.

Exactly. Kirby has the team playing with a completely different mindset. I saw it last year as well, but we didn’t have the line play to support it. That won’t be a problem this year. This team has show resilience from the start of the season. Lose their starting QB on the third series, still score 30+. Go to Notre Dame with a true freshman starting his first game at UGA? Defense smothers ND and we pull out a win, despite 120+ yards in penalties. Mizzou hits long bombs and our QB has a INT deep in our territory? No problem, the offense lights it up.
This is a different team, different mentality.

Actually, it is, in fact, his football team, recruit-wise. What does everyone say about Miles at LSU? He won the MNC with Saban’s players? If it’s solely Kirby’s team, then Kirby’s bedwetting last year was solely Kirby’s doing. Against FU. And Nicholls State. And Vandy. And Ole Miss. And Tech. Other than all of that……Go Dawgs. I hope Kirby beats FU by 100 with Richt’s players.

Yes, Non-Derek. Last year’s issues were all CKS. Once he assumed leadership of the program, the responsibility was his, for mistakes and successes. It is obvious to me that last years growing pains were just that. This years successes belong to the 2017 Georgia Bulldogs, which are a more mature version of the 2016. If they continue to grow……….
