Now **this** is how you do anonymous

Intrepid Ohio State media dude who “broke” the “Courtney Smith’s mom says her daughter lied about her ex-husband” story (which Brett McMurphy debunked) and then went on to reveal that Tom Herman leaked the Zach Smith story to McMurphy (a claim that’s been denied by both parties) is back with another shocking expose.

“In today’s climate” is doing a lot of work there.  Almost as much as “some people”.

My only regret is that Ohio State isn’t playing Texas this season.  They’d have to deploy the National Guard to keep the crowds under control for that game.

    A tweet…about a conversation…with a reporter…about his conversation…with other reporters…some of whom…said something. But he can’t say who said what. Lock up your Pulitzer’s, my friends.

They play in 2020 and 2021 though. Should be a fun home-and-home if either of the current coaches are still in place.

This Bret McMurphy guy is n top of his game. Seems like every time someone comes out with a statement he comes out with fact.

Jeff Snook attempting the “catapult off Urban with a Clay Travis lay-out into a Full Alex Jones 360 backflip.”

The beauty is that, no matter how gruesome the landing, you can always limp away and say, “I meant to do that.”

Maybe tOSU will fire Corch, go with an interim all year, and hire Agent Muschamp next year, where he can install his version of the Hurry Up No Thinking press conference.

Shouldn’t there be an honest look at the other side of the argument, and not just a rush to judgment?

It’s tough to do that when the other side provides no concrete evidence like texts, disciplinary action, or meetings that took place.

      • Yep. The other side of the story: “We followed procedures and protocol. Take our word for it. Specifics? Uhh, will fill you in later after we get our stories lined up. In the meantime…Just trust us!! Why would we lie?!”

    • McMurphy has debunked every argument made by Corch and his enablers in Buckeye Pravda. He knew they were going to come after his story when it was published. He seems to have the goods on tOSU and Corch.

If there’s such a thing as a Peabody or a Pulitzer for sports journalism, McMurphy deserves it for this reporting.

Yes. There is more than one side to every story and a fair hearing is in order. PC or not. It’s our way..or it should be. It matters not that we might hold Corch in disdain..or even tOSU…everyone in this deserves a fair hearing. Then let the chips fall where they may.

I feel like you people who keep saying this are ignoring the glaringly obvious fact that Meyer was already given a chance to tell his side of the story and he blatantly lied about it. Given that, who fucking cares what else he comes up with?

Did I miss where Urban was on trial for a crime? Innocent until proven guilty never has and never will apply in the court of public opinion. If it looks like crap and smells like crap and there are text messages and witnesses to suggests it is lying about being crap…

      I thought that’s what Ohio State’s doing.

Sure. Has anything that’s come out to debunk the original story seemed honest to you?

Snook is such a piece of shit. He’s literally playing the Trump fiddle because he knows it will achieve the desired result.

It’s telling though when you see how quickly some people accept without reservation Snook’s “reporting,” the same people who rejected McMurphy’s report saying “if true,” or “I want to wait for all the facts.” Apparently facts are facts when they fit your narrative and when they don’t, you “wait for all the facts.”

    Sometimes I really hate people.

ESPNU radio has been a clinic in mental gymnastics this past week and weekend. Just non-stop people calling in seeking to hear what they want to believe and getting worked up when the house of cards they’ve built is threatened.

Sorry, Chili, gotta fix this for you. It’s actually the Hilary card being played. As in, “What difference, at this point, does it make?”

Try and keep your scumbags straight.

Is “some people” a reference to Mark Richt’s response after the 2012 SEC Championship game?

I didn’t get that, but maybe?

Ever since this story broke I can’t stop replaying us rushing the field against the Gators in my head, and Corch’s dumbfounded reaction on the sideline. Say what you will about Richt, but that remains one of the best coaching moves in UGA football history.
