“Come on. Get it right!”

Gus Malzahn is calling plays for Auburn now and that means everything is better.

“It’s different,” Martin said. “Yeah, he’s about business, man. That’s what it’s all about. That’s how I feel like we’re going to be a good offense.”

If that’s all it took, makes you wonder why a guy making all that money didn’t bother to fix things before the season.

The eternal optimism of the Barners mind (sic) : Ignore the pesky facts that go against you, focus on whatever you want to believe and present THAT as guaranteed to happen. Panic if it doesn’t, fire everyone and deny you ever thought the previous regime ever had a chance of succeeding, and confidently predict the next science experiment will turn lead into gold

Speaking of Eternal optimism…you should have heard the GT fan I was unwisely chatting with during a Christmas party. He was a giddy ass. Started out by loudly asking, “Who’s not in the playoffs?” Someone said, “GT..and they’ve never been and never will be”…that didn’t stop him though.
They will now out-recruit Kirby, run a wonderful and successful offense and begin a string of wins against Georgia starting in a year or two. Everything is fixed with the new hire.
“We’re gonna take back the State of Georgia” is the new nerd mantra.
All this before he had a single drink.
Please, Dawggies..put a huge beatdown on them and the Barners in ’19.

  2. I don’t care who is calling the plays. If you have a mediocre line and your losing pretty much your entire front 7 on defense… Your going to suffer…

So does this qualify as post season happy talk? Odds on a follow up article with some variation of “the best practice we’ve had in …”?

Things are shaping up to be a banner year on the Plains indeed.

So Gus is going to be calling the same 7 or 8 trick plays as this year?

Many of us question why Richt didn’t take calling plays back from Schott.

When Bobo left CMR should have taken over the OC and QB coach duties instead of hiring Schitty. If he had, he might very well still be the HC at Georgia.
