Your Daily Gator is hurtin’.

Ain’t no way to sugarcoat this news if you’re a Florida fan.

That’s an injury at a place where UF can’t afford any injuries.  He’s not a starter, but the Gators are very, very thin in the secondary.

Sorry for McWilliams and hope he makes a full recovery.

I feel bad for the kid. I really do.

I do not, in any way, feel bad for Sideshow Dan the Clown or the Floriduh fanbase full of little clowns.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery for the kid. I now await the excuses for poor performance this year that hinge on this. Not the transfers. Not the lack of top tier recruiting talent.. but this will become the excuse.

Any relation to former Braves lefthander Larry McWillams?

I feel bad for him, especially how the Florida forums are dismissing him due to “lack of talent” and how he didn’t matter. What a fanbase.

I hate it when a player gets hurt like this, gator or not. Hope he recovers fully.

I just went to the FU 247 site to see what the FU fanbase was saying after reading practicaldawg’s comment saying how they were being their normal classless selves. I saw another article there about another gayturd DB being in trouble with the team over multiple (3 that are public so far) domestic abuse incidents. The message board is calling for him to be kicked off the team and a lot of them are actually dumbfounded that Mullet hasn’t already kicked him off. Of course there’s a few FU fans that think Mullet has handled the situation fine so far. Here’s the link to the article…

Mullen has a history of not dealing with violence against woman issues. I do know that Huggins has not practiced with the team at fall camp to this point.

Thanks, Will. Looks like FU has other, larger problems than the injury loss. Guess this will temper the Cox remarks from that side of the tracks, but we all have to take injuries in stride and hold our breath during our scrimmages as well.

My guess is that 50% of the Florida fanbase started following football in the 90s, and the other 50% jumped on board in the Corch era. They think they are immune to injuries, but 2019 could very well be the year they face the harsh reality SC has lived with in the SEC since the dawn of time: by November, that early season 1st team looks like the early season 3rd team.

I was curious about their reaction to Cox, and I rather liked this one for its lack of self-awareness:

“There is a whole lot more to recruiting than landing the players with the most stars. You compromise and take kids of questionable character — or even without really doing enough research to best predict their character once they arrive on campus — and it is really, really easy to end up with kids who are cancers in the locker room and a program out of control. And if you recruit by feeding these kids egos and telling them what they want to hear your help create prima donnas who think they can get away with anything once they arrive on campus.

“There is such thing as a House of Cards. And there are lots of red flags up there in Athens.”
