Hello, old friend

Georgia is opening the 2020 season (fingers crossed!) at Arkansas.

Needless to say, it’s a huge advantage for a team breaking in a few new bodies on offense to have the chance to work some of the kinks out against the Hogs instead of the Tide.

How many of you guys are going to be rooting for Junior to pull off the upset against the Gators?

Oh, rooting for the Lane Train versus Sideshow Dan the Clown is a no-brainer. Lane has kinda become like a low-key Mike Leach. He’s not as profound, but he’s pretty funny when he’s poking the bear (aka Saban).

As for us playing Arkansas, I’m also happy about that. Though I’m honestly shocked that we’re not opening the season with Bama. The SEC could have completely owned that weekend if they scheduled the CBS Doubleheader to be us versus Bama and LSU versus Floriduh.

Seems like they’re going with a “have our playoff contenders play someone easy first,” game instead. Which is also smart in its own way.

“The SEC could have completely owned that weekend….”

If we play, we will own every weekend regardless of games. Competition figures to be pretty limited.

That’s a good point. I still think having your opening week with your worst or most mediocre games wasn’t a great choice though.

Even Floriduh vs. TAMU would’ve been good for national exposure.

Also, I’m calling it: Mike Bobo and Coach Boom are gonna beat The Three Star General in the opener.

I hope the fighting Kiffins kick their ass.
They may have other problems acording to SI:
At least four players are confirmed to be holding out, according to sources: Wide receivers Kadarius Toney, Trevon Grimes, and Jacob Copeland, and defensive end Zachary Carter.

“I’ve had communication with them, but that’s not my place to share right now,” Mullen said. He would not confirm which players sat out or their reasonings but noted that he “wouldn’t be surprised if we have guys opt-out or if we have coaches opt-out” of the 2020 season.

Put me on the Lane Train, baby.
But I’m surprised Nicky let the SEC give Georgia a scrimmage or two before he see’s them.

My two favorite teams: the Dawgs and the team playing the Gators.

Volunteers vs Gamecocks. Guaranteed to be able to mock one of them Sunday morning. My money is on Boom opening with the L.

This should be a competitive game in that I think they will be evenly matched. USCe is the home team. I think I would go with them straight up for that reason.

  11. Bama vs. Mizzou – no one is surprised Nick got a week to ease into the season
Handbags vs. Ole Miss – go, Junior. Can Plumlee take advantage of 3&G?
UGA vs. Arky – same comment as Bama
BBN vs. Tiggers – should be a cat fight and might be the most entertaining game of the weekend
Bizarro Dogs vs. Corn Dogs – we should find out a lot about LSU on offense & defense in this one
10rc vs. USCjr – could be the Hot Seat GofW. Loser is probably going to be immediately under fire
Vandy vs. TAMU – will the real Kellen Mond please stand up?

I’d pull for Isis against Florida, so of course I’m pulling for the Laner.

  14. I’m torn…on the one hand I hate everything UF and want them to lose. On the other hand, I want them to think they have a chance in Jax and have us break their heart!
