TFW the patience of Job runs dry

The real question to this story is what particular straw broke this particular camel’s back to make “a 1996 UGA graduate, has worked in the ticket office in various capacities for 23 years. A native Athenian who attended Prince Avenue Christian School” give up being UGA’s football ticket manager for a position with the university’s auxiliary-services transportation and parking team.  It’s got to be a good one.

I’m sure it’s a grind. If I recall correctly, we didn’t get the Orange Bowl cutoff until a week before the game. I know I wasn’t the only one calling trying to figure out if I’d need to scalp. Will be even worse when we get that 16 team playoff and they have to fill requests on a shorter turnaround all through the holidays.

He’s ahead of the curve because CFP playoff expansion is going to cancel Christmas.

I coached a youth basketball team back then and had a bunch of Prince Ave kids, I wonder if he was on my team?

I have no idea but it was way better under him than it was with Freddie. Under Freddie it was like they couldn’t be bothered and were annoyed that you a donor for close to 30 years had an issue that needed resolving.

Maybe this means he’s going to be the duty driver for the cheerleaders.
    I could live with that.

I refuse to pay to read the crap the AIC pushes out as “news.” So I see the headline, but don’t know much else about what’s going on here.

I wonder if the tension between long time Hartman Fund contrbutors’ expectations for away tickets and the new to the party Magill Society crowd’s expectations for away tickets is getting significant in Butts-Mehre.

I’ve wondered the same about road and neutral site games. It would be nice to see donor scores by section and who else is getting the tix outside of the donor base. I doubt we’ll ever get that level of transparency, but the ticket office could take a lot of questions off the table if they posted a map of the sections with donor ranks / scores that were assigned seats. With the tickets all electronic it seems entirely doable.

      Mr. Gaskilldawg,
You got that exactly right. I have been a member of that Hartman fund since 1976. Every thing was fine until that South Bend trip and I was told that Magill people had taken all of the tickets I was pissed to say the least. The Magill crowd was not around for the Goff years or the losing every game in Jax., but they got my tickets. I got tickets from stub-hub cheap and they were damn good seats. You might be able to tell, I am stilled pissed.

Maybe he just didn’t know how to handle the ticket situation like Fred did. If Feddy knew you and liked you it was not a problem, but if you were just the great unwashed he couldn’t GAS. At UGAA money talks all else is folly. When they created the McGill deal it was going to screw things up for the regular fans, just like taking all the season ticket holders out of the top of the South stands to get more money for the same seats. Money Money Money, that’s all they want.

Before I decide how I feel about his “reassignment”, was he pro- or anti-paper ticket?
