    damn! i saw where 10 of 12 teams might have had playas at the party. thought for certain that the dawgs and vandy were out of the party.

    Wonderful.

    Nah, we ain’t got no problems up here in Athens, GA.

    None.

    We beat everyone.

    We do it in style.

    No one ever gets arrested for what they did to little girls.

    Not up here.

    We win all the games against the ranked teams.

    We never lose to no damn teams who ain’t ranked, and who will not be ranked when the Final Polls come out for the season.

    We never fumble.

    We never ever throw an interception.

    We have never committed a Penalty in our life.

    Our coach is a forgiving soul.

    And, we ain’t 1 of 5 teams under NCAA investigation.

    Hell, we are great.

      Let me see…. Our guy whose family is fortunate enough to land on their feet in Los Estados Unidos….outta Africa- who gets a shot at college ball and leaves for a solid $paycheck has got a bitch about how the Benjamins may have been distributed, and wants a bigger slice, or feels “entitled to more”. Gee, I don’t think that’s how it works. Those with the gold write the golden rules…don’t like it… make more gold and rewrite the rules.

        He never said anything about entitlement or wanting a bigger paycheck. What he said was that it isn’t fair when people are making mega bucks off of HIS hard work that he isn’t getting anything in return (some might even call that socialism). And until he signs with an NFL team, he doesn’t have any “gold.”

        He’s completely right too. How can you expect athletes to not sniff money when some, like Rennie, have families they need to take care of and can’t get any help until they leave college, especially when millions and millions of dollars are made off of their amateur status?

          The players work hard and deserve all of what they get in terms of attention, glory, an education, and a four-year job interview on national television.

          If you begin to monetize the actual compensation a player receives in terms of housing, food, tuition, national exposure, clothes, bowl trips & goodie bags, etc., it’s not as meager as one might think for a 20-hour per week part-time job.

          He’s not completely right. Those programmers writing code for Apple Safari are just sniffing the edges of major Benjamins that Steve Jobs has as well…….. so? They can dang well move up the ladder. Those carpenters that are framing houses and maybe have a skill set to trim and install the stairs in some beautiful million dollar homes that will be bought by successful football players…… check what the broker makes vs. how much time that carpenter had on task…..

          “Au contraire” A French word meaning contrary to – not to be confused with the Spanish word “contraer” which means to contract.
          There are six countries in Africa where Spanish is widely spoken. This list includes the approximate number of Spanish-speaking people:

          1. Morocco: 5,500,000
          2. Equatorial Guinea: 1,045,000
          3. Ivory Coast: 236,000
          4. Algeria: 223,000
          5. Senegal: 101,500
          6. Western Sahara: 48,000

          Equatorial Guinea is the only country in Africa that has Spanish as an official language. I know this tidbit because I spent time in Abidjan and Ferkessedougou where both French and Spanish were spoken. I may have been the only Dawg fan there at the time.
