Glad to see that about Dent. He and Gamble have really been striking people this year.

    RE: De’Rek Dooley:

He’s doing fine. He’s on pace to win about as many games as he did last year at LaTech, before his daddy’s name….er, his coaching brilliance…got him the UT gig.

Perhaps another dish for the buffet:

CNN confirms that Herschel Walker is, in fact, a freak of nature:

I love the line from his trainer: “You can’t fix it, because it’s not broken,” he said. “You can try to understand it — good luck with that.”

I have to tell you that Trinton Sturdivant and Logan Gray have become my favorite players this year, along with Kiante Tripp.

Both have reinvented or “Tripped” themselves when things didn’t work out the first time (or the second time in Trinton’s case).

Speaking of “Tripp”, wasn’t it great to see Kiante out there contributing with a sack? Kiante has to be the ultimate in reinventing himself.

We are discovering they are all pretty good football players.

Now it’s got me to thinking about how I am going to reinvent myself after I paw over the collar on Sattidy.

I will be sure to ask Kiante.

    Russ.

(Much, much) shorter Capstone Report: You’re so vain, you probably think this post is about you.

Alabama fans have apparently forgotten that when you lose, people get to make fun of you. And it’s odd that they would forget, because they make more noise than anyone when someone else happens to lose.

Also, the Hobnail story is pretty cool. Living up here in northwest Georgia, I can tell you that UTC’s having a nice season this year. They came very close to knocking off Appy State, and they’re not the doormat they usually are. Huesman’s doing a good job with the Mocs.

Akeem Dent may not be 40 yet, but he’s a MAN! He gets after it. I like watching him play.

Playing with your pinkie tip ripped off is just plain grizzled. Reminds me of Ronnie Lott, except Lott had his surgically removed.

After reading that capstone report, I kinda want Auburn to beat the tide even more. Hard to read anything more condescending that that post.
