Well, I guess Tressell will have to get his own lawyers using the money paid to him by Ohio State. Way to stay strong OSU. Hopefully Tressell won’t fire their AD for this.

Charlie thought he was hired for the Florida job solely on the basis of the caption to his resume photo, not on any lofty Tommy Tubervillian you’ve got to be able to run the ball to win in this league promises

I wonder, is Mr. Gorske showing off for Weis, or throwing that record in his face?

Apparently Mr. Gorske hasn’t changed his diet or his haircut in 40 years.

I’m sure I’m using the word out of context, but what’s the deal with $72k+ for awards on UGA’s list of expenses? I didn’t realize there were so many accolades to be handed out after a 6-6 regular season.

The problem with the no-huddle offense is that it can boomerang on you really quickly. The offense better be getting first downs and staying on the field. If you are playing a team that can get first downs consistently and score TDs when your time to go on offense comes your team better hold on to the ball for awhile or else your D will really be dragging. The fatigue factor is how Oregon runs up the score on folks but if they don’t get first downs the fatigue factor will be how a team can run up the score on them.

■As far as I’m concerned, the college football all-time name contest is over.

What shocks me about the Liberty Bowl expenses is that Central Florida did not sell out its ticket allotment and the school had to eat a bunch of tickets. Damn! UCF has its best team in history, gets to go to a bowl and play a known national power (even if it was an off year for the Dawgs) and is going for the school record number of wins in a season–and nobody from Orlando shows up. Geez, why don’t you guys just call off football entirely if nobody who goes to school there gives a sh!t about it.
