Corch points the finger at the GPOOE’s detractors.

Seriously, you cannot make this shit up:

The problem with Tim, and this is the only problem, he creates so much conversation and distraction that I think that spooks some teams….

“He creates so much conversation”.  What were you, an innocent bystander?

I don’t think so.

I guess I just go trolled…I personally admire Tebow and pretty much understand what Corch is saying to a point. There are a lot of football players that are distractions (see Johnny Football) and they are usually negative distractions. Yet they are somewhat tolerated.. I don’t think coaches like any distracting personalities, but if you have to have one, I’d rather have Tebow than an accused murderer, rapist, dog abuser, drug addict, woman beater, etc.
But understand, TT is the ONLY thing about UF I don’t loath.

    • I think Tebow is an admirable person and had a remarkable college career.

But for Meyer to act like he never had a hand in the Tebow worship is total garbage. He did as much to fan those flames as anybody. More than most, as a matter of fact.

So did Tebow himself, but no one talks about that…

        • Yea, if you don’t want national attention, stop doing anti-abortion ads during the super bowl and tebowing every chance you get. Stop trying to lead prayer with veterans NFL players who have indicated they don’t share your particular brand of the Christian faith. There are plenty of other less self-promotional ways to glorify your maker and spread the word of God.

I’m a Christian and agree with everything in this comment but the abortion ad. It’s interesting we accept proselytizing from athletes and celebrities for any cause that’s hip, (the Oscars were one long self-congratulatory soapbox for every PC cause known to man, distracting from what is ostensibly the point of the show) or for movies and music that make a lot of lousy behavior seem acceptable and even cool, but we cringe when somebody uses their celebrity to make a point about something roughly half the country agrees with.

Perhaps the ad itself was annoying? I don’t wish him any ill, but Tebow is pretty annoying.

      • No, Meyer totally kept the Tebow mania under control and in proportion to his abilities. He also warned Belichick about Hernandez:

He has made all the correct decisions and statements and should not be questioned.

Yeah that and the fact that Tim does not perform well in an NFL offense.

I think Corch might be suffering from a touch of lack of self awareness.

  4. I want to point a couple of fingers at Corch to let him know exactly what I think of him.

Regarding the GPOOE, he appears to be a good guy who played in a system that emphasized his strengths (the jump pass and the QB lead) but an NFL-caliber QB he is not.

It seems to really piss some people off that Tebow has not been caught with a hooker or snorting coke. He hasn’t because he is the real deal. When he was at fu I hated him but did respect him. If we have a QB with half the heart and will to win as Tebow, we will stroll to a NC this year.

Agree with all of that Gurkha.
It’s a very difficult and challeging life that Tebow has chosen and some can’t stand it because he’s been true to his principles. He’s the real deal.

I respect that about him, I really do, but the guy is so sportsrock.

Did his “heart” and “will” help him a lot after Harvin and Mullen left?

I’m sure we could say the same thing about his favorite TE too, Corch.

If Tebow has the same monotone yell in the huddle he has on TV, I think I know another reason he may not be doing well in the NFL.

  8. What fresh hell is this?

Yes, we all know that NFL GM’s don’t want players who create conversation and put asses in seats, surely it must be this and not a lack of talent that keeps Tebow from being a starter in the NFL.
