That ended up being an amazing game, and UCLA’s comeback made the Pats comeback against the Falcons look like child play. Could you imagine being up 44-10 with 2 minutes to go in the 3Q and losing? I think TAMU was still up by 24 midway through the 4th and lost.
Of course, being L.A., the stadium emptied out in the 3Q so there were far less people to view the miraculous comeback than their should have been. No possible way Sumlin and the team recover from that loss – just brutal.

Wait until this Saturday if you want to see something equally as stupid: AU/Clemson, USC/Stanford, UGA/ND, and ohio/Oklahoma all start from 7-8 PM. If I were an advertiser that could have had triple the eyeballs on my ads had the networks employed just one person with a brain, I would demand a reduced rate. Makes zero sense. Especially since one corporation controls two of those competing, split audience games (looking at you Disney).

I went to bed at halftime thinking A +M were gonna hang at least 50 on then. Boy was I wrong!

I stopped watching in the 3rd. How can you be up 27 going into the 4th and lose. A and M even had a 50 yard drive in the 4th quarter. Somebody needs a class on clock management. Run the ball and kill the clock. Mind blowing.

Is it just me or have John Chavis defenses been on the bad side of a lot of late comebacks over the years? I know he has a great reputation, but there were issues with the prevent and some comebacks at LSU for sure.

The Chief thinks he’s still coaching against the I formation. Tennessee people talked about 3rd and Chavis toward the end of his time in Knoxville.

Summerlin is way over-rated as a head coach.
All of his teams have these common features…talent but no discipline and consistent coaching.
None of the Texas teams had a good weekend.
Think the Hurricane Harvey had some impact there.

That was a drip. drip. drip sort of loss to the A@M fans that they will never get over. First half mismatch; second half mismatch, just pick your side each half. It looked as if UGA could roast UCLA in the first half while Sumlin’s crew looked daunting in the first half, then the poles reversed.
Thought Rosen was west coast hype until last night. The coaches, players and Rosen can look back on that one as the King Kong confidence builder of all halftimes. Their O and D reversed themselves in the second half, but the standout was Rosen’s quick passing, his pinpoint accuracy and timing that now will be interesting to watch this season.
Sumlin’s D could do nothing to stop them in the second half and a great deal of the loss blame lies there, whereas the A@M O looked like it was playing in knee-deep mud in the second. Plenty of blame to share at College Station while there’s plenty to cheer from coaching and talent at UCLA. Just not sure that Sumlin is to blame so much since the loss came from the hands of a talent now seen through new eyes.

Summerlin is gone.
But here is my question about the play Eason was injured.
Where was that play going after the snap?
Only one receiver on his right side, the side he rolls to throw. Saw end zone picture. Why not throw the ball away. The receiver came back to the sideline but was covered.
Looks like the play was set to go to left side. He had good protection there to throw.
Question. He can throw to the left on roll outs from pocket. No. Plus once he comes out he needs to get his feet moving. This is a concern.

Well on Twitter this morning one of the Board at TAM has called for his head, damn the buy out. Is Sexton his agent cause this guy all but said the agent took advantage of the AD & President to get that contract. I love the smell of napalm in the morning.

After watching an NBA game last year, where a team came back from
20 plus points, halfway through the 4th Quarter, I stuck with this one. Amazing. Even my wife got interested in the game. still cannot fathom that much of a comeback in that time. Yes, it looked like A and M was running inmud in the 4th quarter. Conditioning?

Ever since the Texas high schools have all gone to Air Raid systems, the quality of Texas college teams (and to a larger extent the Big 12) has gone to piss. Could it be because these kids don’t know how to choke a team out?
It’s just interesting. The entire Texas dynamic with those high school coaches is a mess.
