Best bye week ever?

Let’s recap:

  • Most lopsided Georgia win in the series in 35 years
  • Worst week of Florida football since the beginning of the Spurrier era
  • The UF athletic administration looking even more feckless than Greg McGarity
  • This:

Yeah, I think that qualifies.

  1. Mark Richt died for this……..and it was totally worth it! 10/10 would fire again.

Well, as it now appears, McGarity did two things right: fired Richt and hired Smart. Somewhere in the netherworld, Larry Munson is grinning from ear to ear.

I think McGarity only gets credit for following the commands of his moneyed overlords in the private sector. Especially on the Kirby hire. I aint giving McCheapskate credit for anything substantial just for being a sock puppet.

Maybe Florida will call Mike Leach. They threw it 84 times last night and only lost by 21. That’s impressive coaching. I’m sure they got some entertaining quotes to boot.

Jake has a passer rating of 171.9. That’s good enough for first in the conference and fifth nationally. It dawned on me that Eason wouldn’t be any more effective because we don’t need either qb to win games. Would we be 8-0 if Eason was being asked to throw 30 times a game. Stupid question, but maybe he sees that his position on the depth chart isn’t altogether different than Fromm. Run first, then run, and if need be, run. Kinda like Dooley used to do with HW…

After the use of Eason in yesterday’s game, I think the question on him transferring in not “if” but “when” . I realize we don’t shame the opposition by going with the winner’s rule of not passing when you have the game won by such a margin but if you’re going to put him in late fourth quarter at least let the kid throw some. Yeah, he’s lost his starter position but we better utilize his talents more often and effectively or he’ll go help Washington State or Washington in the near term. Oh, yes, I’m a Fromm fan first class! But, the kid did come to us when we needed him.

I really wanted to end that scoring streak and was more than a little bummed that they scored.

I also wanted to get to half a hundred.
