Chaser.
Diaz’ defense was the only thing holding Miami up last season. To lose the architect of that, and then take on Mr. “You’ve got to run the ball in the SEC” as his replacement would be sublime from a blogging perspective… which is why that probably won’t come to fruition. Damn.
I hope Tubbs a better DC than broadcaster. I know, a low bar indeed.

You say sublime, I say bizarre.
It would be both.
The coaching situations of the two Florida ACC schools seem to be floundering now.
I hope CMR can right his ship. FSU can sink.

And to be there to take over head coaching duties when CMR gets fired. I’m surprise Tubs hasn’t died of lung cancer yet.

Have you seen Miami’s 2019 recruiting standing right now?
Not looking good for CMR. They had their banners flying this year already.

I never thought Richt would struggle to recruit a decent class at Miami, but he is about to show me how to do it.

Yeah, it’s mind boggling how bad their recruiting is. Sounds like they need a few rappers to step up their “donations”.

What, Willie Martinez isn’t available?

Honest to God, knowing how headstrong and stubborn he is, my first thought was that Richt was going to bring in Willie Two Thumbs.

Word on the street is CMB may be available soon. Mark is getting the band back together!

I’m old enough to remember when folks said we were stupid for firing Richt and hiring Kirby.

That was soooooo long ago too.
I was in the keep CMR camp and then once that was done my thought was “CKS will be great IF he recruits top 3 classes every year.”
We’ve never recruited this well for this many seasons in a row, ever. Nothing close to it. As such I wasn’t sold that we would. But once again, I find I was wrong.
Recruiting and preparation and motivation has been superb. In game decision making could use some improvement.
Overall, I’m not complaining about anything except the refs.

I really hoped that CMR would find an equal or better level of success at Miami compared to what he did at UGA, but that hope is dying fast. Diaz was his best hire in years and I have a hard time seeing him bringing in a good replacement.

Tommy Tuberville was the original Jeremy Pruitt. Why bring someone on the staff who, assuming he could be a successful DC, would just be gunning for your job?
