Shifting focus to another MPC favorite, the Replacements: Senator, I’m curious as to your thoughts on the Don’t Tell a Soul box set they just announced.

Sorry No One out does or comes close to the Oldest Rock Band, little did we know that most of their being was established by Deep South Soul Men from years gone by. They simply turned the screws tighter on little known locally known regional artists except in Nashville with WLAC, Memphis blues and studied under some wonderful Soul Men in Muscle Shoals. It all started with some 45 rpm’s and granted them through tragedy, Brian Jones and numerous turnovers to maintain the sound well into their 70’s. I just hope when Keith Richards passes if he ever will, please don’t have him cremated for at that instant there will be a blast larger than the bombs dropped on Japan. Keep Rocking !

I don’t think ai could be high stepping with Mick after heart surgery and he’s got 20 something years on me.
Thanks again Senator for being a leader in so many avenues to make Our Day.

Just saw the Stones in Jacksonville last week. It was epic, just like the last time I had seen them 25 years earlier! Mick was his usual non-stop self. The energy that those four septuagenarians put into a two-hour concert is incredible!. Happy Birthday Mick!
