Clemson gets one back.

Just thought you’d like to know:

Clemson defensive end Justin Foster will return to the Tigers for the 2021 season, the school announced Wednesday. Foster stepped away from the team in February due to complications related to asthma and COVID-19.

The dude was a productive player, to say the least, with 66 career tackles (17.5 for loss), seven sacks, a pass breakup, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 756 snaps over 39 career games with 13 starts from 2017-19.

Sure, it’s a long way back to being game ready, but if he makes it, that defensive front gets a little more formidable for Georgia’s opener.

Clemson opened as a 3 point favorite. The game has the makings of being epic. So nice to be in big games like this on a consistent basis.

    • Ran, didn’t you know according to a segment of our fan base, the only games that are big games are the ones Georgia loses? Consult the Senator’s lexicon for the definition of “big game.”

Will not be able to stand the gag-a-minute promotional build up by Micky and his minions for this game of titans meeting for the first time in 84 months minus the no. 1 pick, who will survive blah, blah, blah…

Yep. Are they still gonna do that ridiculous stunt of driving their buses around the stadium for the prime time audience?

Man, this is good news in my book. I know it potentially makes the game even tougher for the Dawgs, but it was tough already and I really hated the thought that a talented player like Foster might have ended up losing football because of illness. I hope he gets back to full strength and plays well in Games 2 through 12 for the Tigers.

I hope he does well… in games 2 through 12. Really, I hope he knows what he is doing. Seems like he had a legitimate problem in February and stepped aside. Is he just rested up and feeling invincible again and wants to give it a go? If Ron Courson was on Clem’s son staff, would he let him play?
