JFC. Kirby needs to create an analyst position to figure out WTF is going on.

I have been pleased with what D. Edwards has done. Next man up! Or, maybe let 99 tote the rock to give him some Heisman hype. Jk, I think.

And here I was sighing in relief at the bye week just in time for our guys to get rested and healed up at mid-season. Of course, injuries can happen in practice as readily as on the field and this year’s pre-season has been a reminder of that. Is it my imagination or does this year’s Dawg outfit have an unusually high number of hours lost to injury for a Top 5 or #1 contender?

The 2017 Alabama had a string of injuries among starters and went on to win the championship (as you well know). Something like 30+ starts missed among various players. The 2019 Alabama team had a whole bunch of costly injuries as well (both starting middle linebackers, a 5 star running back recruit, and a bunch of others). Difference in the 2017 and 2019 Bama teams was that the back ups for the 2017 team were more experienced than in 2019.

Ok, now I’m starting to agree with someone who posted “what the hell is wrong with our IPF turf?”. They better get that shit worked out.

We are only one injury away before I really start to worry about the offense. (#19, #84 or either RB #3/#4). We are down so much talent at WR, and some of the ones we have back, aren’t fully healthy.

Still have 3 scholarship RBs and KMac should be coming back soon too I thought. Edwards runs like a bowling ball. Small and hard to bring down.

    We are fine.

Fully understand the theory of position rotation, some times when you see #3 & #4 get to their feet after being tackled, their response seems like “o.k., that was fun, lets dance some more”, so more carries for those two doesn’t really scare you, UGA “OC” will have the “O” ready no matter who is suited up, which might signal #18 starting against FU to relieve some RB pressure…would like to see Dr. Courson’s portion of the UGA football budget (knowing he covers all UGA student athletes)…

I think we all would. But I’m not getting my hopes up for Pickens until the SEC championship game at the earliest. I’d take a healthy Jackson, Burton, A. Smith, or Blaylock right now.

K-Mac should be back by next week, according to UGASports. That helps.

Something is rotten in the state of Athens.

Seriously, I don’t know if it’s our S&C program or our turf in the IPF, but something needs to be fucking done.

Yes, football is physical game, but this is an alarming number of ligament injuries during practice.

  14. Rumor is Dean is also banged up but planning to play. The vast majority of these injuries are on the offense. I wonder if it comes from playing that defense. I’d be surprised if it was S&C because Scott Sinclair has always struck me as very good at his job.

This is just the kind of thing that will cause the offensive line to play with great disdain towards the salamanders , and will have Zamir looking for someone to bowl over.

They will be fine but I sure as hell hate to lose Milton. That really sucks.

OR… it could be fucking Nike. Remember Zion’s shoe? Nike’s shoes run narrow, and they’re generally shit; poorly-designed and poorly-made.

It’s time for Georgia Athletics to reexamine their relationship with this honestly godawful company and take a look at Adidas.

Too bad Asics and New Balance aren’t in the market of big time college athletics apparel deals, because their shoes are so much better.

  18. And it looks like McIntosh probably won’t go against UF as well. This team is definitely the polar opposite of the 2017 team on the injury front. Other than the secondary, I do think this team is deeper and more talented overall, though.

We have players lost for season, coming off of, or, playing thru injuries, a backup qb, freshmen WRs, underclassmen & transfers. All that and still #1 in nation. Dayum.

Edwards is gonna show everybody something. I predict he’s our feature back next year. Passes the eye test for sure, and looks to have the traits of a few of our all-time greats.
