Shot out of a cannon

Trust me, this looked even faster live.

Tech dropped eight into coverage and Bowers outran six of ’em.  Wowser.

By the way, Bowers is now averaging 17.62 yards per catch, second nationally among tight ends.

  1. Yeah, but he’s not one of the 3 best tight ends in the country … ridiculous.

  2. Senator, are you quietly pinching yourself, what with the ypp efficiency and tight end involvement in the offense? It seems like your dream season. It’s ours too, of course.

As soon as Bowers caught that pass and turned upfield, I said, “Bye, Bowers!”. My son looked at me like I was crazy. Then a couple of seconds later, he was just laughing.

There’s somebody ahead of him? Man that’s something. I think we all saw it when he caught it and got a step or two and thought, “He gone.”

More proof that CFB National Awards are mostly garbage voted on by people who pay attention to the preseason hype and then little attention during the actual season.

He was a nightmare all day. Some of the blocks he laid on Yech’s poor DBs we’re brutal.

Word. From my cheap seats in the North deck I first thought the safety tried to play the ball and that’s how he got behind ’em. Nope. Ran by him and gapped the other DBs too.

Bowers is freshman of the year in my book. Hands down best tightend in America.

I have seen only one other man run by that many D players and his name was Herschel Walker.

Maybe with that speed they confused him with a WR when they were deciding the finalist? I can’t come up with any other explanation other than they’re a bunch of dumbasses.

My unpopular opinion, but ESPN is on their way to ruining college football. Tradition is being trashed and burned. The Heisman means nothing anymore.
