Pinocchio in the SEC West

Tell me, which of these do you think is the bigger fib?

I lean towards Saban’s comment, although if Jimbo’s being truthful, that’s a helluvan admission.

  1. Saban’s probably is. I don’t see the REC making contact with the Louisville kid without Saban’s permission. Dumbo has probably just outsourced recruiting to the TAMU collective. He has given them a list and said, “Do what you have to do.”

The better players enter the portal with deal in hand. For example; how many schools did Burton visit when he went into the portal? If memory serves me – one; Alabama. That deal was in the works before the Natty. So yeah, he’s lying out is a$$.

By the way, this isn’t sour grapes. Kid wants to leave – then leave. That knife cuts both ways. Looking forward to the squealing that will come out of Tuscaloosa, the first time that happens.

Shoot, remember the whining and moaning from T-Town when Maurice Smith left as a grad transfer to come with Kirby to Athens even before we became what we are today.

All Tuscaloosa does is win or whine. Nothing in between.

“Win or whine.” I’m stealing that to annoy Bama fans I know. Nothing but whining since 1/11/22. I will give due credit to you, of course, citing appropriate sources for Georgia’s arrival at the pinnacle of college football.

I learned how to properly credit sources in the mid-80’s, Park Hall, North Campus, The University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia, SEC, USA, capitol of the world, if anyone was wondering….

I’m betting that Saban’s statement is only true in a technical sense. Like they didn’t tamper with Harrell directly. They just mentioned to his old high school coach that they needed help at that position. Then, by a surprising coincidence, the HS coach talks to Harrell and says “You know Bama could really use a guy like you” wink, wink. Nothing suspicious there at all.

I don’t think Fisher’s lying when he says that his recruiting has always relied on money from boosters to get players.

It has been established that Saban is a fuckn liar.
It has also been established that he’s the biggest fuckn loser in 2022.

When satan starts his “i don’t know shit about anything” and foams at the mouth simultaneously, he’s stretching it…now , with jimbo, he’s straight up truthful when it comes to $weetening the deal…

Both are righteous statements, but expected.
I would give the nod to Jimbo.
Agree with the basketball coach that said,”Stop the whining. Deal with it.”

I remember an old story when Bear Bryant left Kentucky for Tejas AM. He met with the well heeled boosters, put a ten gallon hat on the table, and told them to fill it up with money so he could go get some players.
Sounds like nothing has changed in Greater Bryan, Tejas.

Nick said, “I didn’t do that”, “I do not tamper”.
Technically, he probably did not tamper, directly. He might have told a friend and that friend might have told someone something, but he did not do crap. Jimbo just handed the recruits cash right out of his pocket.

Saban might be technically true as others here have said. Jimbo is of course telling the truth because he’s always paid players. I’m going to really enjoy watching the Aggies go 8-4 this season.

  12. Saban reminds me of a lady my buddy & I ran across at a quick stop years ago looking for directions. After saying no to a couple of can you tell us questions, she said “Look mister, I don’t know nuthin bout nuthin!” Still one of my all time favorite expressions.
