Honestly, I don’t know why I don’t post this every Thanksgiving. It’s a classic.
As a middle-aged man, I’m thankful for all the usual things – a loving family, great friends, small-batch Bourbon, a lack of need for a product which includes a warning to call your doctor for an erection lasting more than four hours, etc. – but on a more topical note, I’d like to express my appreciation to Mark Richt and his program for two of the most exciting games I’ve ever seen in person. It’s been a topsy-turvy season, one that’s not going to wind up where we hoped, but, damn, those games against South Carolina and LSU were tremendous. Thanks for that, guys.
And thanks to y’all, too. I don’t know if you noticed, but the hits tally for GTP crossed seventeen million yesterday. Never in my wildest dreams, and all that. I’ll modestly take some credit for the success of the site, but the blog wouldn’t be all that it is without what I think is the best community in the Dawgosphere. You guys are great. Now go stuff yourselves.

Thanks for the great site Senator. My first and often only Dawg stop every day.
And despite the disappointing record this has still been one of the more enjoyable teams and seasons to watch for me. Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Hanukkah to all my Dawg friends out there.

That WKRP skit and the guy killing turkeys behind Palin while she was on camera are my two favorites for Thanksgiving.
After setting us up with humor and Thanksgiving felicitations you then proceed to tell us to stuff it. Nice. Well, gobble this!
And the day will come when you need those drugs like many of us do…..to prevent peeing on your shoes.
Have a good one, Senator and may you always have turkeys like me to fall into your blog space to test your belief in free speech. 🙂

An awesome sight Senator. And you could not be more right about the posters here that make this place so special. I am a member of a College Football site for all teams because so many of the school unique ones are filled with lunatics. But this place is really outstanding and the first place I turn to each morning to learn what is going on.
I hope you, your family and all the posters here had a great and very special Thanksgiving.
