Although this is funny:
If it’s much like SOD trying to teach shower hygiene to Vols, the good news is that the lesson probably won’t take.

Richard Seymour, the former NFL star defensive lineman, will be at Tennessee's game against South Carolina, DL coach Rodney Garner said.
Garner coached Seymour at Georgia, and he's looking forward to his Vols defensive linemen meeting him.

Although this is funny:
An Auburn alumn bringing in a Georgia alumn to teach Tennessee players how to play in the trenches. Checks out.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
He should probably tell the Hillbillies’ DL to get after it really fast, because Willie Martinez’s secondary can’t cover for shit.

I get it, a player going to see his old Coach…at least UT isn’t hosting UGA.

These guys all have their networks, and RS is a Garner guy. His cohort Marcus Stroud hangs a lot closer to the UGA net, supporting charities, etc.

Not a huge deal. Networking.
Can’t remember who but there was a former UF that talked to our guys this offseason.

Any team that has Garner and Willie Martinez as defensive coaches isn’t going to stop much of anyone.

Richt hung onto Garner wayyyyyy too long out fear he (Richt) would “lose” Atlanta inner city.

Garner constantly played the race card and didn’t do the job he was paid to do. I can’t count how many times I would hear a blue chip defensive lineman or linebacker who committed to Auburn or Clemson or Tennessee say “Georgia was my dream school but I didn’t hear from them until the very end”. Garner was lazy and should have been fired shortly after Richt got to Athens.

My 13 year old will be on the sideline as UT celebrates their 97 championship with a friend whose dad played on the team. He will be wearing his brother’s USC jersey. I told him to go find Seymour. LOL
