Mmm, mmm good…
- Now it’s time to worry: KC Joyner loves the Georgia offense.
- Methinks the Big 12 has an inferiority complex.
- Florida hasn’t had a receiver with over 600 yards since the 2009 season.
- Phil Steele says the talent level is not a 49-0 difference between Auburn and Alabama.
- Chris Brown thinks college football needs a better box score. I heartily agree on the average starting field position stat.
- Mark Richt has lost control of the hot seat meme.
- John Infante writes if the NFL is really serious about academic eligibility, it ought to go all in.
- Guess who wants to be on ESPN’s College GameDay?
- Life after football for the Zooker. That’s almost as strange as Woody Widenhofer working in a tollbooth.
Maybe the Big12 can buy a shiny, new yellow Lamborghini to compensate.

So, I’m supposed to buy into the “Florida in the hunt for a SEC championship/NC” with a team that has a barely functional offensive system, a dud QB, a team full of 4th string WRs, the starting RB gone and an O-line that was so thin in the spring they had to rework the rules for the spring game?

You forgot about no backup to the Dud (I think you’ve hit on a new meme) QB. The reach by Fowler in writing that POS takes him off any list I ever want to see words emanating from that concerns sports. When you see all SEC selections get it wrong after they read this homer writing and then see it corrected by other, more objective writers, it stands out. Pushing to name their D players that rate more words than on 13 other SEC teams begins to get to me as well and denigrates their having a good overall D as well.

That Florida article had more speculation in it than Bank of America’s mortgage backed securities in 2008.

There are some times I try to forget what a serious disappointment the last 16 years in American poliitics has been and try to enjoy a purely apolitical presidential cameo and pretend it’s 1946 or 1983 or 1996 all over again. It is getting harder and harder

I prefer that Presidents promote CFB instead of staying only with what used to be America’s pastime sport. What makes me ill is when individuals on teams prefer not to be honored because of their political confusion that they link to a team sport of which their team is the NC. If you liked the divisive raised fists of the Olympics, your gonna really appreciate the CFB player(s) making a political “statement” by not attending.

Apparently, the talking heads (and ALL Bama fans) believe that Bama will sport the leagues best offense this year. This, despite losing 4 NFL offensive linemen and arguably the league’s best RB. Yes, they return Yelton, Cooper, and McCarron – very good – but is it better than UGA?
No.

That Big XII QB article is so full of fail.
Dalton and Tannehill can’t both count. Either you count the QBs who played in the Big XII conference or you count the QBs who played for a current Big XII school. If you want Dalton, Tannehill is an SEC QB (not the SEC would particularly want or need to count him for comparison’s sake).
But the former Big XII QBs who are there, they’re proving it in the NFL according to the article. So let’s look at the proof. Lump them all together and let’s look at their combined playoff record. (They can even have Tannehill AND Dalton for this one.) Oh snap! That’s 0-2. A million former Big XII QBs running around out there starting on active NFL rosters and not a playoff win among them. That’s not as good as “SEC Quarterbacks named Manning.” Hell, that’s not even as good as “SEC Quarterbacks named Cutler.” (1-1 for those of you playing along at home.)
“However, no one in the SEC is playing the type of offenses we’ve seen in the Big 12 in recent years. ”
That’s right. Nobody except for… you know… the entire SEC West, South Carolina, and Florida.
That does explain though why the Big XII has more Heisman Trophy winners in the last decade than the SEC does. That’s really a QB-leaning award. Oh, wait a minute. They don’t. They only have 3 and the SEC has 4.
Try harder, John Klein.

So Big Barry wants to pick games? I can’t resist:
– he will pick all teams to win so as to be more inclusive
– he will predict high scoring games to stimulate the season
– he will lose all his picks vs Putin
– he will blame his opponents in Congress for not approving of his picks
– he will use the NSA to “provide some insight”
– he will propose that anyone who wants to see a game in person should be able to enter the stadium with or without a ticket
– he will learn what Nick Saban earns and propose a coaching tax
And finally, he will order drone surveillance to find this “other Senator” from Georgia. Hail to the Chief!
