The University of Florida has no plans to fire Will Muschamp, even after a monumental loss to Georgia Southern, a source close to the program told the Sentinel on Sunday.
However, significant changes to Muschamp’s coaching staff are expected after Saturday’s season finale against Florida State.
Should be a fun offseason for Boom. And Foley.
Well, I think they should give him a few more years at least.

And a raise. Ill chip in if it keeps him there a while longer.

Just read the article. Have to love how Boom throws Pease under the bus.

Yeah, this ought to encourage any prospective hires for his staff. The time in service for OCs on Florida’s staff is worse than Marine 2Lts in Korea. At least, Boom delegates to OCs…does anyone hold the DC job at Florida besides WM? Oh well, recruiting can’t be unaffected by all this.

Sounds good for recruiting.

Wow… who was it that wanted to hire Chomp here at the UGA? Or Smart? Or the Pirate? Or Mullen? Or Porn Stache? Oh Me oh MY.
Hijo? What say you?

Maybe we could steal Travaris Robinson away since our HC is significantly less likely to be fired in a year.

Maybe they’ll bring Charlie Weis back. He’s already been refining the “We suck so come here” recruiting pitch at Kansas.

What if they come after Bobo?

I gotta believe that was a snark! 🙂

Muschamp slamming Pease for throwing on 1st down , reveals the reason the Gators have sucked for 3 yrs offensively . Fire Pease then hire somebody else and nothing will change as long as Mushamp is there.

I’m frankly dubious about the Sentinel source’s information – not because I have any knowledge of who the source might be (or the quality of the Sentinel’s information generally, for that matter) but because it flies so hard in the face of the facts at hand.
From their most loyal fans’ standpoint (and I’m married to one, please don’t hate me, she has a degree from there, who else is she gonna pull for?), they’re not only calling for him to be fired, they’re calling for him to be fired right now, to hell with waiting for the end of the FSU game.
We’ll see. But if this source is correct, and Boom’s given another year, the Senator’s absolutely right: It will be living hell for all involved, including whatever sucker, um, coordinator they get for the offense. And if Vegas is giving odds on Muschamp finishing the entire year as Florida’s head coach next year, I am absolutely finding a bookie and taking the “under” with every spare dollar I can scrape together.

I expect that the coaching decisions in Gainesville, like most other places, aren’t decided by loyal fans. Administration and big money boosters will collude to decide on such things.

The Bull Gators have turned on him. Foley better watch it or he will go down with Muschamp.

As long as they keep that Joker. He can do the cutest little artworks on the computer, y’all.

Hey, Joker has HC experience. Why not hire him as the next OC Foley? Make him HC in waiting. He’s familiar with the system. 🙂

I have no idea if Boom is a good defensive coach or not. But who in a frikkin million years hires Weis? The guy has never proven himself useful apart from Brady

Is anyone besides me old enough to remember “Pogo”? Wasn’t Pogo a gator who coined the phrase, “We have met the enemy and he is us”?
