That article about the USC unis is spot on. The only thing is I wonder how much fans got pissed when Dooley introduced the silver britches and new G logo.

It’s almost like Tony had to make up something to write about the Trade School, as an afterthought, and then moved them up to number three to cover up the fact that he had to do that.

I believe this statement from the second article supports my claim:
“… defense finished spring practice looking much better than the offense. Which might actually reveal more issues with the offense than it does compliment the defensive improvement.”

If the NCAA actually would do what Emmert says about punishment it would be fine. Schools are doing the very “cost-benefit analysis” that he alludes to when deciding whether or not to break the rules. That needs to end. The real problem is the lack of enforcement by the NCAA. Schools (read: Auburn) are breaking rules on purpose because they do not think they will be caught and even if they are, they believe that the NCAA will not do anything significant to them. The recent behavior of the NCAA has ratified that view. Auburn has been running a pay-for-play scam for years and everybody except the NCAA seems to know it. Do you think the recent payoff to Auburn for that behavior, an undefeated season with an SEC West title, an SEC Championship and a BCSNC hasn’t tempted some others to emulate the Auburn experience? It’s about to become Deadwood out there in college football if the NCAA doesn’t get wise soon.
