Fill ‘er up:
- Buzz killer.
- According to the Colonial Athletic Association’s commissioner, NCAA studies indicate players who redshirt their first year don’t perform as well academically as when they’re playing. Interesting.
- Is Texas about to be dragged into the Willie Lyles mess?
- Athletic department subsidies, the new PR problem.
- Of course, it would help if everyone would calculate those subsidies the same way.

- Phil Steele looks at win differential rates: good news for some, not so good news for others.

I would think that Crowell would be considered a key player for us this year, and he hasn’t gotten many carries for the red & black…

From the Tech preview, did you know that Tech lost to arch rival Georgia last year FOR THE SECOND STRAIGHT YEAR.

To be fair, the number of consecutive losses is usually much higher.

My point exactly. The writer thinks it’s news when Tech loses to Georgia 2 years in a row.

Well based on the list, the Techies should start out 3-0 with wins over 1-AA Western Carolina, #82 Middle Tennessee (unless it’s a night game… because we all know how crazy 30,000 Blue Raider fans can get!), and #94 Kansas.
So, in other words, the month of September we should expect to be hearing/reading things like “Paul Johnson is the greatest coach in history” and “we told you the option was unstoppable”. Geez, I hate Tech and I’m almost embarrassed for them.

Ohio State fans are somehow still arrogant after all they’ve gone through. Their level of sanctimonious self-apologetic bullshit amazes me.
