Well, it’s getting to be that time of year.

The SEC announces which players will officially attend SEC Media Days next week.  Here’s who’s coming from Athens:

Georgia
Jake Fromm, QB, Jr.
J.R. Reed, DB, Sr.
Andrew Thomas, OL, Jr

My only quibble, such as it is, is that it would have been fun to see Blankenship in on the deal.

By the way, nine of the conference’s fourteen schools are sending their quarterbacks, including Ole Miss’ redshirt freshman Matt Corral.  He appears to be the only underclassman making the trip.

Yeah, Hot Rod should have been one. I believe he’s studying Media, so he would have been a natural. Of course, the ones selected certainly deserve to be there as well so I get it.

Curious to see how Corral does this year. He’s the one who was committed then left when we went all in for Fields, right?

Had to look this up, but Corral visited Athens and rumors abounded that he would commit — but the Fields thing was strong, so he couldn’t or didn’t. He then committed to and decommitted from Florida about the time that the QB Whisperer (TM) Dan Mullen was hired and committed immediately to Ole Miss.

Not that Kirby will actually let any of our guys say anything to the media.

I’m guessing this is decided on the basis of which players are least likely to say something stupid.

Old News! I put in my FOIA in back around March and knew this yesterday.
