    While he understands our hatred, Kirby himself may or may not hate Auburn. I think he very nearly took that job once upon a time.

    However, I highly doubt he forgot the ass whipping the Dawgs took at the hands of a Freeze led Ole Miss in 2016.

    Kirby owes him one and if the offense is up to it I believe the Dawgs are going to want to tee off this weekend in Jordan-Hare.

    What kind of jackass doesn’t acknowledge that Auburn and Georgia have a century plus tradition of “hating” each other.

    Not acknowledging the biggest rivalries of your fan base (that span literal generations) is a fast way to lose the goodwill of the fanbase.

    It’s not literal hate, you jackass. I’d help those folks in a real crisis. I’d fight beside them for our country. But I hate their choice of football team.

    Playing sanctimonious is certainly a choice when everyone knows you have no morals.

      hate is a strong expression, just cause they paid for that 2010 trophy, Fuck ’em, just cause they can’t decide between mascots or indoor plumbing, Fuck ’em, just cause barners prefer to to throw perfectly good Charmin in the landscaping vs putting that Charmin to proven, 21st century technology usage, instead of licking their fingers, Fuck ’em, but more than seeing the prettiest little cesspool on the plains dismiss their hc every 2-4 years, I hate it that they don’t burn that mother fucker to the ground in an attempt to start over…#AUBURN SUCKS!!

    I think he even compared this game in a lesser light with the Egg Bowl. I mean come on. If RIcht and now Kirby deserve appreciation for anything they accomplished at UGA it is turning this into a more mellow version of the 5-6 vs 4-7 game for all the marbles in Mississippi.
    I think he is full of shit because he is Hugh Freeze ( aka a preacher not educated or pretty enough for a mega church and too smart for the street corner) and he knows full well the importance of this game for the large percentage of Auburn fans who graduated from there and live in Georgia and he is either trying to set expectations or believes that Kirby or this team may be overlooking our rivals from the worst part of Columbus (that is not actually on Victory Drive- speaking of which Ranger Russ, do you think Hugh has ever driven over there and “looked around?).

        I was there in 1986. Was on the first row in the end zone of the visiting section. Really had no choice but to go on the field given the mass of folks coming from behind me. Truth be told, we probably deserved the hoses. I’ll accept that. But then, for no fucking good reason, they hosed the people who were in the stands, including a bunch of older folks and people with kids. That was some bullshit.

    My boss for 20 years was an Auburn grad and we had a standing lunch bet. I bought three times! He was also an infantry officer that spent his entire active duty tour writing M79 manuals at Benning and got disability $ for a knee he hurt playing hoops! On the bright side I got more than one break due to his guilt!
