That Art Kehoe story just put a big smile on my face. What a great story. This sport’s a big business, and a lot of people rightfully treat it that way. But there are still people who truly love these schools they’re working and playing for, and Coach Golden gets a big plus in my book for bringing Kehoe home.

Arkansas is a mix of northern Louisiana (without any of the charm) and southern Missouri (without any of the mid-west ethic).
They do, however, have the Lord God bird…and Bobby Petrino.

“Are the good times really over for good” asked Merle. Maybe, when it comes to the glory days of coaching contracts. Hard to imagine this not becoming a target with state budgets falling under the microscopes. I know all portions of a coach’s contract aren’t paid from state funds, but they are a visible target in these days of debt and budget crisis.
